guys there is no point in saying your points coz these selectors hv nvr cared from anyone.They always do the job in a close chamber and when they come out they have always a list of some players which many of us feel of no use.
If the selection criteria for Rahul Dravid is IPL-2 Performance then Utthappa should have been considered as played 2-3 truely match-winning innings. I think sel;ectors have completely neglected his performance.

Uthappa played truely the match loosing innings. Where did he play match winning innings. In only one match he scored 60 runs that too after things were easy because of kallis and he had lot of difficulties in that innings.

Pls dont compare Dravid with Uthappa. He is fit to eat only utthappam.... Dravid is any day a class act.

Uttappa need to learn basics first. He has failed in the Fianl match as a looser. My belief is that India need a strong and solid middle order batsman that's where rohit , raina(injury) and others failed and Dravid required. A sensible thinking by selectors. People might have forgoton Dravid as one of the bets middle order batsman like Ponting, Mohammed yusuf, Sangakara. You can't ignore ...
I think sehwag is not fit. He had a surgery on his shoulder. Sachin is not fit also becoz of elbow. Along with Gambhir , manish can open. Rohit, Raina are not in the best of forms. Ishant is also not bowling that good. Zahir should be given break. He needs to be fit for Oct 7 day series in India. Utthappa actually good but in Sa condition may not be good. he should be picked for Australia- india series in india.
I am not sure if he will get chance last 14 / 15. Also, selectors should stick to youngsters like Rohit / Raina / Abhishek Nayar. Anywayz, good to see him back in Indian squad.

I also think so. Irfan, Uthappa and Sreesanth deserve their place at least in 30.

selectors has done right. on the bouncy s.a. wickets; bowlers will test indian batsmen and dravid'll have to play like wall. my playing 11 is:
again kaif is discarded when it comes in terms of national team selection.it seems that there is some favor game being played while selecting players.You can give dravid,rohit,jadeja etc a chance then y not kaif is being given a chance who has scored more than 1000 runs in his last domestic season.this is clearly a partiality shown towards kaif.kaif deserves a chance to be given.

absolutely. I do not how this Srikant can behave in this manner. Why all these are against Kaif. They can select a tiring Dravid but they do not want to select the fittest player on the Indian horizon i.e. Mohd Kaif. It is really sad how a career of such a wonderful player has been killed. And sad that nobody really bothers. Players like Kimble, Dravid, Laxman can play even T-20, but Kaif is forced to sit at home!. What a tragedy indeed. Srikant was the coach of U-19 team in which Kaif was a memebr in South Africa World cup, he praised him a lot, yet now he only bothers about chennai player..M.Vijay etc.

why they are giving so much chances to jadeja who is not a match winner rather than kaif who can turn the match when needed.

@piyush ... Both Kaif and Jadeja are misfits.... I would say Jadeja is the bigger Misfit.
