I think the present selection team is only trying to please and pamper the south indian lobby. If Dravid can come back then why not Sourav. Under all circumstanses Sourav is miles ahead of Rahul as an ODI player. What was Souravs fault can any one explain here why he was forced to retire and dropped from the ODI team.

we saw what saurav did in ipl2 in south africa .he is a selfish player and always wants team to rotate arround hin and not the other way arround.and as far as south lobby these days india team is a north india team. can u name a single southie in playing eleven these days except wi series(dinesh karthik)?pl note:ojha is from madhya pradesh and not hyderbad.

one of the reasons could be that Sourav Ganguly has retired from the game, while Dravid has not. second reason is that Dravid can play short-pitched bowling much better than anyone else (including the so-called young and fearless stars!!), except Sachin Tendulkar. Sourav's biggest weakness is the short-pitched bowling.

Yes Rahul i also thought of sharing the same view, but that bengali don seem to understand anything. he dont know that Dravid was the biggest admirer of Saurav, he once said in his praise "there can be only two persons ruling the offside,one GOD the other Saurav". but this guy... don know wat he has aginst RAHUL,bloody remember Rahul has big hand in All of Saurav s Captaincy Success.

Yes chakra ganuguly is the best batsman against short pitched delivery. His chaddi comes down every time a bouncer is bowled.

Be matured yaar,both ganguly & dravid are class player there no comparison between them,dravid have unique technics,and ganguly had a good cricketing mind...
i think srikanth should immediately quit from the selection committee. how can a uselee player rahul dravid be selected in the probables of champions trophy. if the selector wants him to give a chance to retire from odis gracefully then why the great sourav ganguly who served for indian cricket for so many years got a chance to retire from the odis gracefully. this what happenes in indian cricket and ofcourse the selector and both hails from south so dravid is among the proables. sourav ganguly was always humilated by everyone in indian cricket inspite of him being a great crickter infact even greater than rahul dravid. rahul dravid dont know how to play test match cricket only how can he play one day cricket.

ganguly was a good player but dravid is 10 steps ahead of him he is not given credit bcoz he has played second fiddle but look at 180 vs aus 2001 233 vs aus 2003 270 vs pak 2004 145 vs sri 1999wcup 153 vs nz 1999 he anchored the innings vs csk in the semifinals in the 2003 wcup he scored at crunch moments he has always scored when india has been in trouble whether odis or tests whereas ganguly never scored in crunch moments except in maybe 1999 wcup so shut up

It is very heartening to see dravid back in the probables for Champions Trophy. Probably he will be selected for the Champions Trophy. He will give balance to the Indian side. I hope he is back in form. He has tonnes of exprience behind him and can handle any situation to the best in teams interest. Jaysurya should be his motivation. When at this age he can perform why not him.

Well dravid is a very ODI player as well. He adopted to the game without screwing up his test form. I think he can play a pivot role even at this stage of his career.

May be..but do you know why he was dropped last time around? One single reason - he resigned as Captain without taking Vengsarkar into confidence and our man gave him back once he saw 4-5 failures (2-3 of which were wrong decisions by the umpire!). Irony was he had scored a brisk 92 not out in 63 balls against Eng and was MoM just before the string of failures. All that was forgotten. Hope he can continue from where he left in Indo-NZ Tests.
