Sreesanth
by Raks on Jul 06, 2009 07:56 PM  | Hide replies

Why is Sree not being considered. He is fit and bowled quite well in the later part of IPL and showed signs of his come back. I guess, we (selectors) are in the process of killing another talent

Sree is a good player but he spoiled his image. It is a fact that for success we need not only talent but also character. There are good examples like Sachin, Federer, Zidane (But for the Head butt) or your talent should be such that it should be above everything like Maradona, even though we know that he used drugs the entire world loves him and has a unique place in the hearts of millions of people

Too early to judge somebody. Jadeja is picked up for a reason and he is going to be part of the future of cricket in india. If you cant recognize a players worth years later, then you are a novice. He just had his first outing in Eng and WI. How many of the superstars of indian cricket, got going in their first overseas series ?.

yeah we would need Selfish and Low talented players like Jadeja. Please enlighten me when he didn't bat selfishly. Scoring 62 runs off 77 balls when required rate was 8 RPO in a sri lanka match, and Barely having 100 Strike rate in a T20.

GUYS and Girls, this sort of player should be IGNORED , because it will set a dangerous precedence. We don't need someone with the attitude of Jacque Kallis while having 30% of Jacque Kallis Ability.

Why Harpreet not included
by shashwat on Jul 06, 2009 07:33 PM

Why a talented player like Harpreet has been excluded from the probables list. He played an important role in Deccan Chargers win over Bangalore in IPL.

Wake up Srikanth
by Sachin Kindalkar on Jul 06, 2009 07:27 PM  | Hide replies

Hey Mr. Srikanth. What are you up to? Guess trying to convert a Tamilnadu team into a Team India. Look at the number of Tamil nadu players in there....Dinesh Karthick is the only players who deserves to be in there......Murali Vijay was named as a replacement for Virender Sehwag {Where is the comparison boss}....S Badrinath, R Ashwin what are they doing there. And by the way where is Robin Uthappa seems that K Srikanth is just ignoring him for the sake of Tamil Nadu players. Wake up Mr. Srikanth for the sake of Team India......

What was virendra sehwags comparison to the player he was picked to replace when he started his career ?. How stupid an argument you have. Credibility is built on opportunity and years of performance. So no player regardless of how great they become later on, can be a proper replacement for a senior accomplished player they replace at somepoint in their career.

Anybody worth their salt who has watched Vijay play would know for sure that this guy has talent. He is going to be a part of the indian team in the future. Mark my words kiddo.

Vijay is actuall a good ODI player as well. Have watched him play well with good scoring rate in Indian A-B matches. He has got good technique against fast bowling and is only susceptible at this point against certain rising deliveries. But who in the india team is not ?.

we all saw how the team struggled in england against hte short ball. You need someone to provide solidity in the middle order, the rohit sharmas etc.. are all fit for nothing blokes..

Dravid will be crucial for the indian team if we have to win the champions trophy

A better decision considering that the current team knows only to play in T20 mode. Dhoni can give his newly found 'stabilizer' role to him and play his natural aggressive game.

please have some shame Mr. Srikant
by Meraj Ahmed on Jul 06, 2009 07:12 PM  | Hide replies

I think selectors have lost all the shame. By constantly not giving any chance to Kaif, they just want to demoralize kaif completely. Yet again they have proved how biased they can be. I do not how this Srikant can behave in this manner. Why all these are against Kaif. They can select a tiring Dravid but they do not want to select the fittest player on the Indian horizon i.e. Mohd Kaif. It is really sad how a career of such a wonderful player has been killed. And sad that nobody really bothers. Players like Kimble, Dravid, Laxman can play even T-20, but Kaif is forced to sit at home!. What a tragedy indeed. Srikant was the coach of U-19 team in which Kaif was a memebr in South Africa World cup, he praised him a lot, yet now he only bothers about chennai player..M.Vijay etc.

kaif was forced to sit at home due to shane warne as he is captain and coach of that team which proved wrong on thier part what has kumble dravid to do with this.it was mallya decission to persist with dravisd kumble which payed the dividends.

meraj what u tell is right but kaif is not physically fit .he is having such a lean body that he cud not play a long innings like yusuf patan.have u forgo his innings in pak where he cramped and had to be taken out of the ground?he is a good technical player like dravis yunus or yusuf but the problem is his physical fitness is doubtable

Dear Meraj tell me one thing do you think Kaif have potential, sorry to say you are wrong because as you know how many times he gets chance but fails to prove himself,& u see yuvraj & kaif both player once time same talent, atleast yuvraj performed once in a 4 innings but kaif really still have to improve his batting skill.
