It is DADA who gave aggressiveness to the Team
by channa basavaiah on Dec 23, 2009 06:58 PM  | Hide replies

No doubt, it is the most aggressive captain of all indian cricket and he showed the australia how one can beat them with their own way as JAVAGAL SREENATH recently told media about Ganguly and we missed ganguly on the field atleast 2-4 years earlier. Hatsup Dada!!!!

haha.. glade you clarified Tigers latest position.
Then again, I feel for Tiger as all rich and famous screw around. It just happened that Tiger got caught and everybody else now hold higher moral ground to fire at Tiger..

Phony world!!

good to read dada's comments..
while a lot of the players from current lot attribute their success to dada's captaincy...its great that dada is humble enough to acknowledge the contribution of sachin to dada's growth..

however, what is most important to note here is the respect two greats have for each other..
i mean..dada has been a great captain and a very good batsman while sachin is just too good a player..
either of them can proclaim (especially ganguly...this is what non-bengalis talk about him in general) that i am a self-made man..something of this sort..but no.

i wish...we could see more of such co-ordinated efforts all over in India..be it politics or Govt. offices..

PS: I am from Haryana and not from Bengal

sourav ganguly may be a controversial player
but his ability as a cricketer and contribution to indian cricket is par excellence and inexecptionable
sachin asked sourav to open with him in 1996 and he replied with some very good performances in toronto in 1997
sachin, sourav, rahul, kumble, vvs all r greats and responsible for what indian team has achieved in the last 12-15 yrs

The greatest captain we ever had was MAK Pataudi, though he does not have the results to show, because he had a very ordinary team.

Sachin--Selfish/playing for records? (NO)
by LG on Dec 23, 2009 02:42 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin Haters always make illogical comments—He is selfish and/or he plays for record. So, I was thinking whether they have any valid reasons for such remarks, and came up with conclusion that they have none because they do not really understand what they are saying.

Selfish?
Selfish people are those who manipulate other people to get what he wants. Such people are found out sooner or later and thus do not achieve anything significant for long period of time. Achievements-fame, wealth, and excellent professional career-- of Sachin throughout his 20 years of cricket career indicate he is not selfish.
These brain-dead people—Sachin Haters—cannot and do not understand the difference between an Ambitious and Selfish people.

Playing for Records?
What records are to cricketers or any sportspersons, bonus is to corporate employees. As getting bonus or getting higher bonus is the end-result of an employee’s dedication and hard work, so is a record to a cricketer/sportsperson—the end result of dedication and hard-work. But mind it, to get higher bonus consistently or creating many records one has to be the best in his field consistently.
Since Sachin is and has been the best in his profession for 20 long years, naturally he has all the records and will created many more records.

But, these brain-dead and skills less people—Sachin Haters—cannot this simple thing because they are incapable of reaching to a stage where they can not even dream of get

No Comparison between Sourav & Dhoni
by itla kumar on Dec 23, 2009 02:16 PM

When Sourav started his captaincy,Indian team was in doldrums with match fixing scandal looming large & Sachin not wanting to lead the side.It was Sourav's leadership that laid a solid foundation for a very strong team.He build the aggressive attitude among the team members. That's probably the legacy which Sourav gave to the Indian cricket, which Dhoni is now building upon.Comparing Dhoni with Sourav is like comparing Allan Border with Steve Waugh. If anybody had followed Australian cricket, then they will know that Allan Border raised a team almost from the scratch & made it a world beaters, which was later enhanced by Mark Taylor & Steve Waugh.
