Dinesh Karthik had performed well as wicket-keeper and also as the batsmen,he should also given a chances in the one-day games.His performance in the third one-day is good.

what performance. anybody can show such performnce when reqrd runrate is 3, and sachin is standing at the other end, with still 6 wickets left. Karthik played irresponsibly

don't know why karthik is centre of attention...he just finished a game from a comfortable situation..if anyone has to be praised it is Sehwag for a rocking start and Sachin for staying till the end and not allowing the low and slow wicket to upset them.

The ones to be praised are primary the bowlers and the captain for the breakthroughs via right decisions. Only then comes the batsmen and that too your god.

Dude, come on, We know how India bats when 1 batsman is left that too is suresh Raina who is not a regular finisher of the game and we need more than 70 runs to win. If karthick had lost his wicket. Things would have been relatively easier for srilanka to pick the wicket of raina and clean up the lower order as malinga bowled aggressive yorkers and mendis and other spinner got few close ones. Karthick played well against malinga and did well against his racy yorkers. Playing a sensible innings in front of a huge crowd as a relatively new player was good. sehwag & sachin are used to intl pressures. Don't compare karthick with them. He has done comparatively far better than a new player ( who will forget praveen kumar & Jadeja's performance in the chase where Sachin scored 175 and just need 18 odd runs, that too in power play. We know the result. Karthik is not great but he is good. We should make him better. He showed good batting sense among new players. I believe, eventually improves himself and exhibit his inherent talent once he learns to handle intl pressure. I’m sure he is a much better cricket than what he played today. Just a matter of time he learns international pressure so he can be a valuable bench strength to Indian Team.
Calm down morons. Game is over... India won (which is more imp that Sachin's century). Stop this Karthik hating... that kid will get to play only when someone has a marriage to attend or someone is banned. he played to his potential and helped India won... whether it is Sachin's century on his way or Dhoni's No 1 position. He played like a cricketer... thats it... now stop the nonsense and get back to work!

Sachin is a match winner Oomshik.. he plays always... sometimes he gets out at the wrong time, which doesnt take away the fact that he is the best!
All these Dhonis and Yuvis are like the mushrooms after a rain! Lets see how far they can go... if they can go on like SRT, then its the best thing for India... if they don't, then we will support the next kid who performs... Greatness need to be respected... EVERYWHERE!

India won the third one-day against Sri Lanka.Jadeja and Sachin performed very well in the game, and even Sehwag,Gambhir and Yuvraj played quite well.My advise is to give chance to the new players like Ojha and Tyagi who will be the future players for India.

Dhoni is the no 1 in ICC Rating His batting average is higher than sachin inspite he not opening the bat like sachin He made India no 1 in India He won the first ever 2020 World cup
india won CB series in Australia due to Sachin. India won Compaq final in Sri Lanka due to Sachin. In flat tracks of India, anyone can be a match winner. So we need Dhoni? There are better wicket keepers in Karthik and Parthiv who are also good batsmen. Do we need Dhobi really? Haven't seen him perform outside India.

Dhoni scored heavily in the league stage during the CB cup. He along with Gambhir scored a lot of runs. He played a vital role in getting India to the final. Karthik's keeping is shoddy. Dhoni's glovework is much better. I am from Tamil Nadu and I would like to see Karthik in the team, but let us appreciate Dhoni for what he has done. If you want pretty cricket MSD is not your man. But he is one of the best ODI batsmen; his scoring rate is good. His batting is safer but he has not compromised on scoring.

dont go to past, it can also be said that sachin never played bowlers of malcom and garners caliber, i have no problem with sachin, he is an all time great, but why criticise dhoni? just bcoz he comes from a small town and has become succesful in a short span of time? stop being jealous of him and take him as an inspiration.

dhobi can't even play the likes of steyn and parnell...he can't play the likes of asif...he can't play the likes of vaas...he can't play the likes of flintoff and anderson...dhobi positions himself conveniently as per the situation..easier situation he comes early and tougher situation he hides himself..name one ODI innings in dhobi's 5 yr career where he did great against a good bowling attack outside India?

He can play them as well. Dude a simple fact explains dhoni's achievements. A lower order batsman scoring at an average of 50. That means our top order including SACHIN fails more often than not. CB series in Aus where we won against australia in the league phase is one match just for your info. He was the guy who took us there, of coz as usual led by a great bowling effort, which the likes of sachin have used to their advantage. Also sachin opens. so he gets first opportunity. Dhoni didnt have any problems facing anyone in the CB series. Actually he was the only guy other than gambhir who looked confident. You need to get over your hate first to see it.

There is a difference between getting centuries at bowlers expense and consistently scoring and taking india to victories. Former is your favorite and latter is dhoni. Lot of people fall for style over persistence. Fools.

Gumpy, From 2000, this is one of the few matches where Sachin has played to his potential. I am a big fan of Sachin and want him to contribute to India's win more than accumulate his runs. The real star of this match has been the slow bowlers who brought the game in our control. But, yes the runs still need to be made and thats what our champion batsman did. Kudos to Sachin for that.... As far as wicket keepers are concern, Karthik and parthiv need more skills to match Dhoni. We never realize how well he keeps wicket and without much fuzz. Also, need to know that he is the captain and need to think about the field placing... Dhoni is really special and Karthik and other will not be able to fill his shoes.....
