I don't think Sachin won match today. If you attribute this win to Sachin, then Jadeja and Sehwag too deserve the credit as much as Sachin. If Srilanka wins next game to equal the series, I bet Sachin will fail in the 5th match.

why not the Srilankan batsmen who became out needlessly? Also, the SL bowlers who gave away easy runs to Sachin? So, they won the match for India rite? SIGH

He is a good player. Don't make him what he is not. oh now porkies are a benchmark. ONly blind fans can go irrationally overboard like you do. Imagine where you stand!.
Re: Re: Re: To Sachin haters
by Saravanan Subramanian on Dec 21, 2009 10:49 PM
are you bothered about my under achivement in my life or reality on Sachin?
Now nobody can say that Tendulkar hasnt won a match for India single handedly. This innings is for those who criticize Sachin. Now this innings have applied stitches on mouth of Sachin haters. Now I hope that they will not open those stitches throughought their lifetime.
Re: Tendulkar
by Varun on Dec 21, 2009 10:39 PM
lol. Dude this match was won by jadeja and rest of the bowlers. Give them the due credit. You know what is single handed. When wicket are falling around and one person drives the team home. How many wickets did we lose ?. Even sachin wouldn't call it match winning. But blind fans omg.
Re: Re: Tendulkar
by Happy Indian on Dec 21, 2009 10:43 PM
blind haters like will never accept the truth. If Sachin would have gotten out in the 50's and India lost, you would have said sachin is not a match winner.
Re: Re: Re: Tendulkar
by Varun on Dec 21, 2009 10:51 PM
hehe. you started guessing what i would have said ?. Is that how you justify it in your mind ?. Buddy you are the blind hater and blind fan. I respect sachin for what he is. But don't attribute what he is not to him. Get it ?.
Re: Re: Re: Tendulkar
by Forrest Gump on Dec 21, 2009 10:47 PM
good point..sachin is equally responsible for india winning as he stayed as anchor till the end.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Tendulkar
by Varun on Dec 21, 2009 10:54 PM
Not equally. He played really well and deserves the kudos. But he wasn't the primary match winner not was it single handed. You sachin fans go overboard and sachin haters go overboard as well. Same when it comes to dhoni. One extreme or the other. Immature responses.

very well said.. when sachi plays he's god.. and when he doesn't, it is solely due to the expectations.. these blind fans never admit that he couldn't play well on that particular day.. no doubt sachin is genius, he's a master player, but u gotta except that he too can play bad on some days.. the fans just go overboard..

As usual blind sachin fans are giving him the credit for winning the match. It was Indian bowlers who restricted SL to 239 who have won the match for India. R. Jadeja Harbhajan and Ishant Sharma are the ones who turned the match India’s way. If the score had been 339 instead of 239 as usual sachin would have been back in the pavilion within the first 5 overs. It was team work that has made this win possible. The same thing happened in the CB series in Australia. There also Sachin was given full credit by these blind sachin fans, when in reality it was team work which won the series. Like today’s match then also in the first final our bowlers restricted Aus to 239/8. But that time there was no one single bowler who took many wickets but all of them took 2 wickets or 1 wicket and bowled economically. But since no single bowler took 4-5 wickets single-handedly, Sachin got the MOM award. In the second final we made 258/9 which though not a small total was not very big one also. There again Aus were not able to get this not-too-difficult total because of our bowlers, who all of them bowled well. Praveen Kumar was MOM with 4 wickets. Besides him sreesanth and Irfan Pathan also got 2 wickets each while harbhajan got one wicket. That’s why Hayden’s 55 runs, Symmonds 42 runs Hussey 44 runs and Hopes 63 runs were not enough. But blind sachin fans as usual overlooked performances of all the other members of the team and gave the impression that the series was won ONLY because of sachin
i can write 100000 line of article why to drop karthick after his selfish act of not giving god to score century. But god always pardon everyone........... so karthick got mercy .Hope his odi career dont end like another player by the name of wall, who betrayed god to score 200.

Intention matter most than the action itself. Dravid intentions were not good--that is why GOD ( I do not mean Sachin here) punished him. However, Kartik action was unintentional.
Re: Re: really bad
by rahul sheral on Dec 21, 2009 11:17 PM
come on buddy, grow up.. the Wall knows he's playing for a nation and he intends the team to win.. irrespective of whether the so-called "god" scores runs or not.. it was just trying to do what he thought right..

OMG that comment speaks a lot about your personality. You are quite young aren't you ?. Such immaturity.
Re: Re: really bad
by Mature Stud on Dec 21, 2009 10:49 PM
ohh please.. what a pathetic thought.. Dravid was and is the team player and most dedicated one indeed
Jadeja's effort was really the turning factor of the lankan innings. Else they would have made 300 plus score easily. He deserves the man of the match award ahead of sachin tendulkar. Jadeja must be given more chance in bowling and could become a all-rounder just like yuvraj.
Re: Man of the match, Jadeja
by Varun on Dec 21, 2009 10:40 PM
yeah. He deserves it more than anybody else. It would have been a shame if the had given it to sachin. We are so batsmen centric a nation.
a) there is unrest in public b) there is a slump in Match viewership c) there is some businessmen support d) there is enough fund required by X people. e) there is some political problem brewing and common men's attention is to be diverted from real life problems.
Presently, the whole india is grappling with the problem of Inflation and Price rise. So politicians would like to divert their attention. They know Indians are crazy about Cricket and treat it as their religion.
But they have failed to read between the lines in the real problem that if they ie Common Men are starving and their children are suffering the pain of their parents' agony of price rise to meet two ends meet, Aam Aadmi would forget even their religion so called cricket.
Also, 20-20 Match format is just to enliven the interest of Common Men whose ticket is the luxury bread and butter of our Cricketers. So stop Drama bazi and play the game with true spirit and work for the welfare of Human Being ie. Common Man- 70% of Indian public -who can't afford to have basic amenities ie Food, Cloths and IMPORTANTLY House. If they will have House, they would not agitate to reduce prices of essential food items. First always comes -A shelter over Head ie HOUSE
It makes no difference to the sentiments expressed so far in the Discussion Board, it is the scorebook which speaks. Good efforts by the Indian bowlers, despite bad start, and good batting in response by the Indian batters. Sachin can score his next century anytime, it is the victory here that matters.
Karthik played a mature innings, playing the ball on its merit. Many fail to see the team won with 7 wickets in hand and quite comfortably, rather thinks about the individual record. In a team game, the team winning is what matters.
Talking about the missed chance of tendulkar, who can predict sachin would get out or not on the next ball? He narrowly survives a LBW appeal before. This is sports. So take it in its spirit. We are not against Tendulkar. Infact adore him verymuch. But that doesnt mean every other player should give way for him. Karthik did his best for the team. bating as well as keeping. Nobody can blame him or doubt his intentions. We need more professionalslike him. Then only we can match the Aussies.
Re: Karthik / Sachin
by WINTERMOON on Dec 21, 2009 10:28 PM
True, but he had a little 'empathy' in him, he wouldn't have done that.. It was sure India would win the match, so he should have shown some consideration................
Re: Karthik / Sachin
by Forrest Gump on Dec 21, 2009 10:26 PM
sachin took single after hitting a four off malinga...he himself was not selfishly going for his century...i think those who watched the game have no regrets even though im the biggest sachin fan ever.
Re: Karthik / Sachin
by TheBoss on Dec 22, 2009 12:20 AM
If Sachin wanted to score a century and he instructed Kartik to play accordingly, Kartik would not dare to say NO - the way Kartik played simply means and that they Sachin enjoyed it of his shots with a laugh, simply means that Sachin was all for victory and not his century. And for God sake, Sachin played well and india won the match - that's what is important. Lets not give too much importance to his 96 - I mean more than the victory.
