Suppose India were chasing 300 plus , would Sachin have scored? Absolutely no way. he would have chickened out half way through. it was only because it was a low score that he stayed there till the end. The big scores are left to Dhoni, Yuvi and Sehwag.

it was sachin who kept the momentum in that match and scored 175. though we lost that match, he proved that he never dips his shoulders, he truly plays his natural game .

I agree. But you know what? Sachin is the elephant whome stray caninines will always bark at, but cannot disturb.
Sachin Tendulkar's brilliant unbeaten 96 is numerologically significant(9 6=15,1 5=6).Number 6 has strongly influenced his life. Tendulkar was born on April 24,1973.His birth number is 6(2 4=6).His Zodiacal Sign is Taurus owned by planet venus represented by number 6. So,it is not at all numerologically surprising that his Test debut was on November 15,1989(1 5=6).

as for kumar, his pace on subcontinent pitches is very easy to despatch. Regarding raina, he is down with flu Please check news and stats before posting hate mails. Without resorting to criticism, please answer what is wrong if a player from a small town is in Indian team, if he is talented enough. Location hardly matters for talent. Moreover, over the last 75 years, India hardly had any small town players than what they have in last 4-5 years. This speaks of game's development. I think, being a game lover, you would appreciate this.

You are a blind Sachin fan. That is why u give more importance to selfish personal records than team's win.

This poster has many IDs but same objective. There is no point spending time talking such poster.
1)Ishant sharma, being consistent in his failures, is selected again and again. I wonder, if India ,where some 10 lakh people play from Intercollege to Interstate/Ranji level cannot find a good pace bowler 2)Ravindra jadeja has seen the worst nightmare after the Nagpur 350 chase vs Aus, but was lucky that Dhoni had faith in him. He could not have gone much down than that and that actually seems to brought about the fearlessness in him to the fore. 3)What is the role of Dinesh Karthik? Is he the perennial replacment?. He seems to be good for one day/20-20 services (in place of useless Yusuf pathan). But he needs to develop his skills against short pitched bowling to play in the Test level and so does raina. 4)What happened to Rohit sharma? the promising player (after agarkar's career "promising" seems to be a curse for an Indian Cricketer)
Re: wrong selections
by prithviraj on Dec 21, 2009 11:03 PM
Rohit sharma again met with an injury while diving in the run out in T20 game. But most importantly he lost the crucial opportunity given to him in the match. Karthik and Vijay have actually materalised the opportunity to good effect as new comers.Nehra was OK.Ojha did resonably well. But Rohit's expectations is high as he has already performed few times and people expect him to perform in the given opportunities which adds him a huge pressue. which was evident in the T20 match in which he was run out.
