Congratulations
by Gopi Nathan on Dec 07, 2009 10:30 AM

The whole members of the team done their job very accurately. So, India came in the No. 1 position. Keep the batting power, line and length bowling performance and field work like this in the upcoming match also. Then, nobody can beat our team.

With best wishes to all

Aus were unbeatable side when Hayden, Ponting, Warne, McGrath and Gilchrist played together. With all except Ponting gone, Aus is as beatable side as any other country. India has better batting strength and SA has better bowling strength compared to Aus. Both these teams are far better in fielding. You need to be superior in all areas to be an unbeatable side.

Be no 1 consistently!
by Akash Mehra on Dec 06, 2009 10:35 PM  | Hide replies

Its a great effort and congrats to Indian team. We all enjoyed seeing them play so well over the last 2 years.

To be no 1 team consistently India has to do following things.

1)Find a genuine wrist spinner who bowls leg spin and googlies with good line and length.

2)Find a genuine fast bowler who bowls consistently above 140 - 145 kmph.

3)Find a bowling all rounder who is a genuine bowler but bats decently.

Doing the above should not be difficult as Indian board is cash rich and having so many resources. Only thing is sincere efforts are needed from board and it's selectors.

The three above mentioned are players playing for their respective teams irrelevant of religion. What they have done is good. And I am sure every time they came into bowl they wanted to take wicket for their team/country than religion. one should never bring caste & other things in sports. And more particularly, v in India live with great brotherhood among all religions.

Congratulations but need to stay there....
by Shilpa Datta Kadam on Dec 06, 2009 10:23 PM

Congratulations to our team and we all.
I think we and our media always blows is out of propotion.
We just got number one and Media blew is large. BCCI gifted 25 lacks to cricketers and 10 lacks to selectors. Now we should think how we can be there for more period, at least for 3 months or so...... You have seen about one day ratings. We were number one only for a day.

So good luck blue boys for tough job of keeping it up.

Bowling strength needs to be built
by Jay on Dec 06, 2009 10:21 PM

Indian batting for Tests looks formidable. The team batting upto No.7 has no weak links. In fact with the likes of Vijay, Badrinath outside the playing eleven, it has good bench strength. Bowling remains the main weakness. With Ishant replaced with Srisanth, the opening bowlers look ok. Ishant was never suitable for opening the bowling. Once he gets back to his best, he should be brought in as 3rd seamer. Ojha has started off well, so also Amit Mishra. They are still new to Test level. Harbhajan needs to bowl better to remain in the team. He is expected to get into the shoes of Kumble as the lead bowler for India. We have to wait and watch if he can deliver.
