When Tendulkar was the captain, India hit rock bottom with defeats all around. When Ganguly became captain we started winning at home and did not lose to Zimbabwe when we visited them in 2001. Under Dravid we defeated Windies in windies (2006) and England in England (2007). With Dhoni now we have also won abroad (Newzealand) and have won at home consistently. India will be considered a great team only if it is able to win a test series in South Africa and Australia. That is something India (or any subcontinental team) has never done, and will be the true test of Dhoni.

in australia we dominated the entire 3 match series but lost 2-1 because of some rediculous reasons. we lost the series to umpires not to the ausies

When Ganguly became captain we started winning at home?? Where were you till then? Tendulkar failed because there were no one else contributing at that time. The talented team was not yet established. The emergence of Sehwag, Dravid and Laxman made the batting stronger and hence the difference from then on.

It seems this TEAM India can carry on his Dominance like Australia did for almost > 5 yrs. Leave Individual grudges & Play for India (Not for Delhi/Punjab/Maharashtra/Karnataka etc) CHAK DE INDIA !!!! - Manish Gupta

congrats team india ! keep it up ! i wish all the best for the future ! i think indian players should not give any interviews when any series or tournament is going on. as it affects the performance of the players.

I guess, more than the football, we people have to concentrate on watching football. When they have more audience, they can have more sponsors, funds to have better facilities like infrastructure or reputed coaches to improve. The public should start encouraging global sports.
