Harish Kotian, The winning % is wrong. You should not count abandoned when computing %. Here is why: If you play against a team once and its abandoned then according to you winning % is zero and its absurd.
Correct ones: vs AUS: 45.45 %, vs NS: 75%, vs SL: 66.67%, vs WI: 66.67%; ABROAD: 67.64 %; OVERALL: 66%
Its wierd, that we compare Sachin and Dhoni and then fight about it.. its like comparing einstein and gandhi ... who is better? come on... they are the bests in their own fields, and even they know it, and mutually agree, and feel happy about accepting it... Sachin gets the respect and pride that he always deserved, under Dhoni's captaincy, and Dhoni gets Sachin's invaluable inputs, experience and the free will to make the big scores... THEY ARE HAPPY WITH THE RELATION THEY SHARE, AND IT SHOWS... AND PUBLICLY ACKNOWLEDGE EACH OTHER... THEN WHAT'S THE PROBLEM THAT ALL THE OTHERS ARE HAVING???

Well said ps. Sachin is a grt batsman while dhoni is a grt captain and a wonderful batsman. Both are indians and contrubute to our victories in one way or the other. Why keep arguing who is better as that only leads to two camps with their followers who try to run each other down.

I am a Dhoni fan too, but why are figures against South Africa not represented? I am sure the story will be different when those stats are also added. But that should not take away the credit from Dhoni for being India's most innovative and promising captain.

sachin playing more than a decade, why the hell he cant take india to this No 2 position in the world.
really happy for all the thigs which dhoni achieved. coming from a very huble background n worst from a small town, the kind of feats which he achieved in short period of time is remarkable. few years back most of the indian team was from cities like mumbai delhi banglore n chennai, now the whole thing has changed the real india is at the forefront n thats the reason we are doing so well now. hats of to dhoni, pathans, raina, rp singh we r proud of u all
DHONI,YUVRAJ, HARBAJAN never supported when others were captain. Including Sachin. It is not Dhoni's captaincy, it is his best politics all these northies support him and give their best. See what happened when Sehwag was not there and Gambir failed what happened to his captaincy in T20. See his captaincy in IPL total failure to bring the team to final. Therefore when the openers give solid support like Sehwag and Gambir most of the match we won, when they failed most of the match we lost. It is not Dhoni's stretegy we loose or win. No doubt he is so far lucky captain, even rain helps him, that is his success. But this KOTIANS report is wrong assumption and he is always supportive to DHONI.
the fact is that sachin supporters cannot digest anyone else in india being successful. I am a sachin supporter and am very impressed with the rise of dhoni too.. Dhoni is a great captain and Sachin the greatest player (not even a good captain)

See every captain succeseded in Sachin era, first of all Azar, than saurav and now dhoni. Cricket is a game of team effort and some good players. A captain only not taken any decision, its also a team plan. In case of sachin, every opponent team is not sure to win until he gone to pavilian, thats the tiger's role.

Go and check the numbers before you give credit to only Sachin. Under Dada's captaincy, it was Rahul Dravid who set the trend of winning abroad. His average is 95 in matches won almost equal to Bradman and 74 in all matches under Dada. So stop crediting one person. Not to say that Dravid was the only contributor. End of the day a test is won by taking 20 wkts, so bowlers should also be given the credit. Not to forget VVS' contribution in those wins.

Yes, but the problem is we give importance to individuals and not to the team. We are not bothered so long our favourite player is doing well. Ultimately it is the teams win which would take india to the top and not individuals and thats is what is happening under dhoni's captaincy.
