Indians have only cricket.Even in cricket,Indians are struggling. It is high time India reached the no.1 spot in a game played by very few countries[10-15].Moreover India is the only country where cricket is the major sport.Recently,Lara even said that cricket is dying. Hence please allow the Indians with the second largest population in the world to have some place in the small world of cricket to retain what little pride they have left. They have nothing else. India won the cricket world cup 25 years back, while aussies won 3,in the meantime.Indians struggle to get even one olympic medal while the aussies get by the dozen.Hence please allow Indians to have some space in the dying sport called cricket.

Ajai Jacob seems to be another wannabe Aussie or Englishman. He probably works flipping burgers in some fleabag motel in Sydney or Melbourne,on a run-out visitor visa.He thinks that running down his countrymen on internet portals will earn him brownie points with the whites and they may accept him as one of their own...dude, get real. Now, to the 'naked truth' as you call it...India is doing well in cricket not with anyone's mercy but on the back of their own performance on the field.Your beloved Aussie's cant even beat them in Australia anymore...even with Bucknor's help.Cricket dying??Not too fast, dude..it's growing in fact, and at least in India the game is on a good track.Nothing wrong in being a force to reckon with in your own games...like th USA in basketball,NASCAR and Indy racing and baseball. It doesn't lower the appeal of the sport one bit.You dont like cricket that's fine, but dont make a fool of yourself on a public forum displaying your quite apparent ignorance.Have a nice day doing the dishes in your Sydney McDonalds.

Mr Jacob do you play any sports? If yes what have been your achievements (if any) in that?If you want India to perform so well at sports then either do it yourself and if you cannot do that then the least you can do is not talk negatively about the people who are doing something. If not winning then at least they are playing.Thanks.

kapil raj, what you have said is correct.I play badminton.Your statement- If not winning then at least they are playing- should be the attitude. Instead,a lot of hype is created even before anything happens.Let the Indians become no.1,then start praising but not before.

Racist christi-nazi aussie, you can crawl back to your little hole that you have emerged from.

mr.singh, I am happy that I have succeeded in tickling you. Most Indians have no respect for the naked truth and want to escape into a fantasy world. Instead of raving and ranting when faced with the stark truth,do something to improve things, however small. I am an Indian just like you but I am interested in improving the sad state of affairs instead of big mouthing or foul mouthing. Read chetan bhagat's latest novel to understand the secret of the aussies' fantastic, outstanding success in cricket.
It is Sachin's generosity that Dhoni got the captaincy. If Sachin has accepted the captaincy he should have got all the credit. Only a unselfish player like Sachin can do that.

Lot of people including media are against Sachin. I dont know why...Even when media show Sachin he looks like dwarf and a peculiar voice, when actually Sachin is 6 feet tall and a baritone voice. This is deliberately done by anti-Sachin media.

dont take away any credit from dhoni and company and put in name of sachin.many of the series and matches are won without sachin.
In the " young " India team, the main players are Sachin Tendulkar, Virendra Shewag, Rahul Dravid, Zaheer Khan, Harvajan Singh , Yuvraj Singh and the captain himself !! Wah Wah Ramjii!

Common - I do not think the world needs to know about Australians from you. Probably you started watching cricket only y'day. And for your kind information - there are just 3 outcomes in cricket - win, loose, tie. Every country has had its share of luck. You probably never heard any of those. Never mind we can always forgive babies

I think the very language ENGLISH has some grammer and u shouldn't forget that ! Dhoni's good but grammer's not that bad either.

by anil Richhariya on Aug 08, 2009 12:32 PM
without a doubt English has a good grammer and awkwardlly great vocabulary but the gentleman above is talking about team work but not one man show propagated around Mr. Dhoni. Good captain ..? may be.. but his batting is a torture to watch... agree!
If u dont have any news, Dhoni becomes news.Nowindians are resting , let them be in peace.u create a controversy around Sehwag , screw their unity during T20 and blame again if they fail in T20.u need something to chew

BlOOdy HeLl! wat dhoni & co have to do with ur bla bla bla.....
India never should have become such a good one day team had the Kapil's Devils not won the 1983 world cup. Thats the real begining of Indian One day story. At that time Windies had the most deadly bowling combination of all times comprising of Roberts, Marshal, Michale Holding and Goel Garner. Moreover they also had one among the best batting side headed by Viv Richards. Forget about all these statistics, and let us consider the facts. As far as achievements are considered, Dhoni is no way near to Kapil Dev. Dohni is riding on his luck, and the way he played in the recent matches (especially 20/20,)led to defeat in many matches. Everybody knows he can bat much better, but God alone knows why he is playing a test game in a 20:20 match.
