That arrogant unruly fool has done it again.He projects himself as the messiah and as a brave man leading from the front.In reality it has big implications for Indian cricket.If other countries follow suit most channels like ESPN,Ten Sports etc will start their own versions of 20/20 and this type of format will last say 6 months etc.This will produce cricketers who are sledgehammers than willow wielders.Cricket will die a slow death all the more poorer because there will not be any Tests anymore. Arjuna Ranatunga wake up!This is not about player freedoms ,it is for the safety of the game as a whole.

We have LATIT MODI and SHARAD PAWAR proteting cricket ... Now VIKAS NAIR signs up as a protector too.. May be the BCCI should employ Jackie Chan to protect cricket. Cricket is not OWNED by BCCI ... if other people are capable of starting their own leagues let them start ... the more the merrier.

Ranatunga for me is one of the most brave & able cricket administrators. He has done the right thing. grow up Vikas.
I think this is a very good move.By this we can get more exposure to youngsters who are an emerging talent.I think both the leagues should compromise and there should be inter league playoffs.Like the champion of IPL plays the champion of ICL.It sounds interesting.

whot the funk is bcci to be outraged, they dont run shrilankan cricket and they have no right to ban any players in the first place, bill gates is fined if he monopolises markets then why shouldnt the bcci be punished ,its not their baby , cricket is a game not a business , keep it that way
We have see as Cricketers.We appreciate if other countries also fallow the same.We want to see that ICL and IPL and other any cricket league to play as like series.

BCCI is like a private company. They cab even bring Ponting and Symonds to represent India. Becasue of its political clout and financial clout, world cricket is playing to its tune.
well id like to really congratulate the srilankan board for bringing back these players to the mainstream!This should Teach BCCI a lesson than no one has exclusive rights to the game.Well,what wrong have these cricketers done?They are only trying to make a living out of the sport theyve dedicated their lives to.For certain most of these ICL players would never get a chance to play for the Country with the number of people waiting to get into the team.....so what are they hell bent on ruining other opportunities for the so called rebels that come their way?This is plain mean attitude and deserves to be kicked where it hurts most! we are in a democracy and why should people get banned for life and from Mainstream sports just for chosing to play a tournament and make a living out of it?Its crazy.I hope other boards follow the srilankan example.
