Modi's position is clearly conflicts of interest. He is in BCCI board, gets a major cut from IPL and he shouldn't be in the decision-making business of ICC.

It is so gross. How can one be in the decision making committee, while the person himself has the interest in the same area.Total conflic of interest. ICC is so dumb?
the prob is dat if they encourage such private organisations to come up wid such leagues(even though BCCI itself is not a govt organisation), many other companies might come up wid similar leagues... the gud players will be distributed all around.. thus the quality of cricket will also come down. Wont u like to see all de gud players playing in de same league?? just a thought that occured to me.. not sure ..

when two good players are in a team others will also learn and the standard of cricket will definetly improve, more the number of good tournaments like ICL more the players will get chance and exposure, and it appears Mr. Modi is more concerned with his profits rather than the development of cricket, In my opinion the ICC should recognise ICL as their objective is to promote the game of cricket.

Let as amany organization as possible to come to play. The one is good will stay and others will vanish. That is it is done all over the world. The sposnsors are not dumb either, they know who to go with.let the competition be there.

what about the local talents, did u see vignesh of chennai superstars performing, he is good than the allrounders that we have in our current indian t20 team
I want to ask a question to all those people in this board who are talking against ICL.
How many matches of ICL have you watched?
The quality of the game is so high that it can be compared with any first class cricket in the world.
The World's fastest fifties scored in ICL - Season 2.
Just see how new talents like Binny, TP Singh, Rayadu, Murtaza, Iyer, Sodhi, vignesh, etc are performing in ICL.
I watched BCCI sponsored IPL. From the cricketing point of view, I could not see any difference between ICL and IPL.
Yes there are differences like i) Media bowing down to IPL's conditions and giving full coverages of all IPL matches, ii) Cash rich cricketers performing in IPL, iii) free for fighting in IPL matches, iv) continues failures of cricketers like symonds, afridi, pointing, yousaf khan, etc
Since ICL is the original cricket league and IPL copied ICL,ICL should immidiately file a suit and ask BCCI for a hefty royalty and a share in profits earned by IPL.Also any player born in India should be eligible for selection in the Indian team irrespective of where he plays.Otherwise Indian team will not be representative of India but just a private club.ICL should immidiately ask for a stay on selection process for Indian team till this issue is settled.

Well set vinay, the first step of ICL is that they should sue IPL for copying their product

the cricket league was flaunted by BCCI and not by ICL as u guys think. They had dis idea 3-4 yrs back.. its only that they got a little late in implementing it.
BCCI is making large amount of profits and it is recognised by government y cant government take money from BCCI and invest it on the other sports or other schemes for unemployed youths in india and also inform modi to look his own business

BCCI has become an adda of politics. There is respect for the players. They always think about money money and money. Very soon the BCCI will be finished. Also it is not a govt recognised body for criket but only a club which is playing cricket and they dont have any right represent India at international level.
