Modi copy cat
by Techcool on Oct 31, 2008 07:56 PM  | Hide replies

Recently there was an Ad in the TV, in which Mr. Modi boasts IPL as his dream. But in reality its just copied from ICL, which was run by Zee network. I am not sure why Zee Network is not patenting this show and sueing Mr. Modi and BCCI

ICL IS FOR BENEFIT OF CRICKET
by pankaj on Oct 31, 2008 07:52 PM

ICL WAS FORMED TO BRING THE PRECIOUS TALENT OF
SOME SPLENDID UNKNOWN YOUNGSTERS TO INTERNATIN-
AL LEVEL.THERE WAS NO LEAGUE TO PERFORM THIS TASK WHEN ICL WAS SET.BCCI HAS MADE A POLITICS OUT OF CRICKET,SO MANY UNWANTED PLAYERS JOINED ICL TO GIVE A BETTER SHAPE TO THEIR TALENT AND CAREER.JEALOUS OF ICL,BCCI GAVE IT NO RECOGONISATION AND CONSIDERED IT AS REBEL.

Modi is trying to monopolise Cricket
by arul m on Oct 31, 2008 07:49 PM

A monopoly is never good, unless the monopolist is a good entity.

BCCI is organisation which even does not reward its players well nor it treats the paying public well(Try getting refund for washed out matches)

Zee is not a good corporate citizen, but their ICL attempt has helped many a marginalised players to blossom and hence should be encouraged

ICL should take BCCI and ICC to courts and claim equality

solution to icl/ipl problem

ICL should be recognized and should be played in small towns and IPL should be played between metros.

PLAN IS GOOD BUT NOT IN THE LANGUAGE OF BCCI.BCCI WAS MADE TO CONTROL CRICKET BUT IT IS MISRULING IT.SO A BIG CONTROVERCY
HAS CAUGHT FIRE.SOME ORGANISATION MUST
DISSOLVE BCCI JUST LIKE HOCKEY FEDARATION.

ICL players hud not be banned from National selections
by Vijit on Oct 31, 2008 07:33 PM  | Hide replies

I am in favour of IPL anytime...
ICL is not solving any purpose..
Just one could be done for sure... Players playing in ICL should not be banned from National or State Level selection... These selectipons shud be done purely on Performance basis

This modi cannot equal even one tenth of what ICL has done without BCCI support
It is childish on BCCI/IPL to refuse recognition
IPL has copied ICL and what he is tomtoming about.BCCI and IPL are pocketing lots of money.
Allow ICL also and allow both of them to show who is the best.As a paying public we are entitled to see the best.In IPL it was pathetic to watch Ganguly,Dravid and tendulkar and still they speak of choosing their time to quit!!

yeah, ipl is a cheap rip-off of icl, even though its an expensive version, and everone involved making money off the hapless public, which has no choice but accept the bcci version of cricket in india. its nothing but monopoly secured through financial and political clout.

modi reeks of being a corrupt businessman
by raj on Oct 31, 2008 07:23 PM

the entire ipl reeks of commercialization on large scale. there's no one to question ipl, modi and bcci. some randm board decides that cricket belongs to it, because it has the money, and political muscle.

if this is not monopoly, what is ?
