Tension
by vsgiri on Oct 19, 2008 10:05 AM  | Hide replies

He has already created lot of tension and unwanted uneasiness for which he is prepared to go to any extent. He was always supported by indisciplined players like Bhajji, Yuvraj etc. and it will be always nice to be without such a fellow in the team

Indians scoring fifties while winning in Test cricket
India won 38 tests since 1996
Dravid 19 Fifties contributed to win Four Zim quality opposition 15
Laxman 15 Fifties contributed to win quality opposition 15
Sachin 15 Fifties contributed to win Two Zim quality opposition 13
Sehwag 6. Fifties contributed to win one Zim quality opposition 5
Saurav 13 Fifties contributed to win three BD one Zim quality opposition 9

Then why Saurav at bottom ?
Sehwag matches played 60 still going strong
Saurav matches played 109

Lone fifties seldom win matches as it need strong support from others batsman and bowlers. That is why I gave tons hundreds records to rate these batsman. But some skeptics said this player won match by his fifty
Saurav played 109 tests scored 3 centuries contributed to win Two Zimbabwe and one England more tests played
and 13 Fifties in test matches India won three Bangla Desh one Zimbabwe quality opposition 9

this article is apt and to the point....

I'm not a supporter of Raj Thackeray but my brother's close friend was among those who were sacked by Jet !! And he said Raj Thackeray's campaign against Jet really was the main factor in getting them their jobs back !

Raj Thackeray played a pivotal role in holding talks, debates n other discussions with the Jet officials......n bcoz of this initiative by Raj Thackeray, all those who were sacked got their jobs back !

This was a good campaign by Raj Thackeray....I'll be happy if he gets involved in such campaigns rather than cribbing about regionalism

Thanks for the information but You didn't get the point.
1) I wrote "India have never lost (Not WON) a Test match in which Sourav scored a century"
2) Dinesh claimed that Ganguly must have scored his centuries against a weak opposition and I just presented all with facts to decide.
I never said Saurav is better batsman than Sachin, Dravid, Laxman, Sehwag etc. I don't think I have the knowledge or experience to Judge such these stalwarts.
I believe one would always have favourite and mine is Laxman because of he is stylish and accomplished batsman.
Cheers!!!

You are right Karthik. The problem with India does not lie with South, East or West but with the other Zone that falls above the Vindhyas. It is becos of that zone that there is so much of disgrace in India.East, West and South knows how to appreciate each other's good achievements becos people from these Zones are not scums. I wish India was only comprised of these three Zones.

thats exactly the case Moron.
You cant win matches on a single player's performance.
You need atleast 2 0r 3 people to do well to win a test match.

Understand cricket (the game) before analysing the stats.

A tribute to Sourav Ganguly.
by BishwaNath Singh on Oct 19, 2008 07:54 AM

Sourav Ganguly is one of the famous cricketers of our country who made his name & fame in the cricket world as one of the best captain of our Indian Team ever seen in the cricket world with great capabilities and endurance for smart leadership. He is a man of very likeable nature and loved by all for his pleasing manners. His captaincy will be in our memories for long and will be cherished for his leadership. It is very sad that he made announcement of his retirement just before the start of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy led to contrasting opinions. A majority still feels that his retirement will bring the greatest set back to our cricket world as still, he has potentialities to play cricket well.Though,it is his own decision but we are sure that even handful of those who were against his continuance in our national team will receive a great jolt & set back if Sourav Ganguly retires. He is popularly called Dada by many of us to express our great love & affection for him. He is genius & icon of cricket which has been his life. His recent game has once again established him as one of the most successful cricketer of the world. Let us join many to pay our tribute to one of the greatest cricketer of the universe Sourav Ganguly and wish him & his family all the best! The grateful nation should utilize his talents in the best possible way for bringing all round development of our games so that we don’t have to cut sorry figure in the world Olympics.
