Just wondering if the author has missed out on stats.Rahul Dravid's stats shows Rahul Dravid 125M 216Inns 10246 53.93 Sachin holds the highest avg in the current indian lineup(and even considering all time indian batsmen). Am a bit surprised when author says it was ravi shastri who is the best against aussies. Sachin's record against aussies 25 2352 241* &n bsp;56.00 This is on any day the best record not to forget the quality of attack sachin faced is probably the best.Sachin faced the Aussies when they are at peak unlike ravi shaastri. Moreover shastri has played only 9 matches and sachin played 25 matches against aussies.Averagin 56 against the best attack for 25 matches is to me the best. Also to say Dravid has played worst against aussies is not true by any mean.Ofcourse he has been troubled a lot by aussies. But averaging 47 is by no mean worse by any standard.
Dear writer pls see the total avg as per ur anaylsis. You pls open ur eyes and see how whose avg is highest. Don't be blind in writing something because you want to write something. Rahul's total avg is 54.38 which is highest among the list what u have produced. There itself who is the best. It does not matter who has scored what in what situation but Rahul is Rahul, always Rahul. Just by going ur statistics nobody is going to ignore Rahul's patriotism for cricket and what he has achieved, so pls think and re-think before giving analys about the icons of India in fact. This is my humble request, pls don't try to humiliate or neglect the greats because what they have done is really something which cannot be achieved by anyone. It is their hardwork which has taken them to that height. So, don't for ever write such wrong things. Always try to admire them for what they achieved. Jai Hind.
Its a complete rubbish as to judge class players on past records.what matters is that these players have ben a part of the team which has won so many games against Australia and every one has somewhere or the other played a constructive role in winning matches against a team like australia, where other teams just dream of beating australia specially in australia.so we no one should keep on criticising players then be it any one.if any one has problem with the players who are in the team then they have a problem with the whole team so therefore they should stop watching this team playing.
Well we know who the performers are against the best in cricket.
Anyways there is a gr8 batsmen in the side who scores you cant drop me fifties sometimes. On last Australian tour he scored 2 fifties in 8 innings and averaged 28, while the bowler Harbhajan scored 2 fifties in 4 innings and averaged 35, maybe the gr8 one is as great as Harbhajan the batsmen !!!!
WHY REDIFF IS PLAYING SUCH CEHAP POLITICS. HOW CAN ANY ONE ON EARTH CAN SAY RAHUL DRAVID IS BELOW PAR. NO ONE CAN PLAY LIKE RAHUL IN ANY FOREIGN SOIL. RAHUL IS LION AND ROYAL FOR ANY TRUE PATRIOTIC CRIKCET LOVERS, JAI HIND. I AM SURE MY WRITE WILL SOON GETS DISAPPEARED BECAUSE REDIFF CONSIDERS THIS AS ABUSE, KINDLY WATCH
This is the MOST Preposterous, Stupid and Biased article I have seen in a long long time. This Rajneesh Gupta has an axe to grind against Rahul Dravid. Else how on earth can anyone write this RUBBISH? Rahul Dravid with an average of 47 from 22 Tests has a Poor record against Australia... My Foot! He has been part of 2 of the most sensational Indian Test Wins against Australia. He has had some poor matches and he was generally below par during his first tour of Australia. But telling Dravid has poor record is preposterous. His average against Aussies is less than his overall average because of two below par series and some exceptional performances against England and Pakistan. Get your writers to write some decent stuff and not just any garbage in the name of analysis. Give a list of all leading batters of present era who have average above 45 against Australia and then we will know what is the significant of Dravid!

Ignore these so called authors.. they dont even know the basics.. if Dravid has struggled against Aussies then no indian except Laxman has been succesful.. secondly Avg of 47 is struggle.. this is a new leasson learnt.. the author must have scored 89 avg in Gulli danda in his backyard.
according to the writer nayan mongia is the second best Indian player to have ever played against aussies... I think itz time 4 the writer to consult a phsycatrist...
Isnt it kinda obvious that people's averages are likely to be slightly lower against the Austrailians..for most of these guys playing lives, Australia has been the best team...for most of the guys in the first table table, do the same analysis for against West Indies (which was the best team in their time)...seriously, why churn out stuff, just because you want to write something!!!
