good question! If I were selector, I would have selected him, but we all know that entire media will be asking for his sacking (wrong....in my opinion).

under pressure.... but dravid needs one more series... we have to wait till the england series before saying good bye... he will probably anounce his retirement in bangalore chinnasamy stadium

I am sorry, but I don't agree with you. Only criterias for selection should be performance (or rather ability to perform). The best available 11 should play, irrespective of age. At the end of the day, objective is to win. If your suggestion helps in achieving this objective, only then it should be considered.
Lots of people are debating who is greater : Kumble or Tendulkar? In my opinion, there can be no comparison. Kumble achieved what no other Indian bowler has acheived & Sachin did the same in batting. Their roles were different, and they both excelled in their respective roles. I think they are equally great.

Equally Great, but Kumble didnt receive the kind of appreciation that Sachin received during his career. Never was Kumble considered as great when he played. Only after retirement did the media and cricket fans who were against Kumble suddenly realising that his achievement are great compared to other Indian cricketers, past and present.

I agree with you Sneha, but at least - "better late than never". At least now let us make an attempt to give Anil what he deserves.
