Mallya is a Loser
by Desi Dumbo on Jun 06, 2008 12:05 PM

I think Mallya knew dat the IPL cup is out of his hand...and he cud not afford to take the defeat on his name and hence he dramatically made his way out....Charu Sharma and poor Dravid just became a victim of this.Coz Leadership cud not b an issue for a person like Dravid who has been Indian captain for a couple of years. And as we saw in the IPL rsults...its just Warne's leadeship which made a difference in the series.

IPL vs ICL
by on May 14, 2008 03:10 PM

I think its an 'irony' what IPL had boasted of .. providing chance to youngsters trying to prove that they are better than ICL .What Dravid did was taking into consideration the need for brooming the youngsters' career. But now its crystal clear that IPL is all abt making money.self business improvement in the name of building a players future.Congrats IPL u have acheived what u wanted.

When will Bangalore team will get rid of Mallya
by on May 14, 2008 01:34 PM

This mail is in response to the statement given as headline in Times Of India on May 14,2008.

I have below question for Vijay Mallya.
1. He is the one who choose Misbah. Even after including him for 3 matches he could not score more than 30 runs. So who should be held responsible for this now ?
2. Even after sacking Charu from CEO post, did anything changed ? we still lost all the matches.
3. What is the contribution of Mallya in inspiring the team apart from getting all the glamourous people on the field. He should learn how to inspire
team even in worst condition from Sharukh Khan. He has genuine and unconditional support for his team whether they win or lose. Love shown by him to the team is exceptionally appreciative.

I really pity our Bangalore team for getting crushed under hire and fire strategy of Vijay Mallya whose main intention is to promote his beverage business.Being the responsible citizen, I will always have second thought in promoting Royal Challenges as I know I am indirectly promoting a brand of liquor.

This is my sincere request to Mallya, Please stop giving headline statement to get the cheap publicity. It does not suit you.

Regards
Smitha

This is how things work in real world..
by Jay Veeru on May 14, 2008 01:01 PM

You sink or swim on your performance. While in the national team, public opinion, popularity, regionalism etc matters.
When you are playing on someone's dough, all that matters is how you perform inthe middle of the field.
You can be rest assured that a similar fate awaits tedlya.

With no offence to anyone!!!

Dear Mr Mallya is a great bussinessman, with lot of wealth invested in sports and Sporty* activities.
But presently he is in great need of sportsman spirit, he should understand this is a game including Humans not Horses/Car.

You should not always seek for financial profit out of sport, it may be bigger objective but not universal objective. Also financial targets should not inflict personal pride and respect of players.
In a way he is a highly demotivating Owner.
Better to see him with fashion not with sports.

Nice to see him loosing !!!!!! please sell your team so that some sporty and motivating owner takesover for betterment of player n cricket as well. Mr Mallya please play only with fashion, lifestyle, luxury and cars not with Emotions

MY DEAR,

RAHUL DRAVID AND WASIM JAFFER FOR EXAMPLE ARE VERY GOOD TEST PLAYERS AND IN 20-20 IT IS REQUIRED TO START BLASTING FROM THE WORD GO..YOU DON'T HAVE 100 OVERS TO SET A GOOD SCORE..ONLY 20 OVERS...WHAT IS THE USE OF GETTING SINGLES POSTING A SCORE CLOSE TO 100 OR 120..WHEN IF YOU WATCH THE MATCHES, EVEN 160 OR 180 RUNS ARE EASILY CHASED..SO NO POINT IN KEEPING PLAYERS LIKE DRAVID OR LAXMAN( ANOTHER LOSER ) IN 20-20

If you see carefully Ishant Sharma also not that impressive...rather big mouth 'Sreesanth', VRV and others performed better than Ishant....

Mr Mallya it was your fault
by Subhasish Ray on May 13, 2008 03:16 PM  | Hide replies

Mr Mallya it was your fault to choose Dravid as the captain in RC for a tournament where he is not suitable.Dravid is a great player but in all forms of cricket. At the same time he is not a good captain but you put your confidence on him.We respect Dravid one of the greatest batsman in India but T20 is not his cup of tea.So from the team selection to performance everything went wrong for RC.

playing like a test match with the test team
by ramamurthy sridhar on May 13, 2008 02:51 PM

What vijay malya says is correct. We should not select team test match players for 20 20.When some person is sponsoring he has got every right to raise question for selection and poor show when it comes to game. What i feel now vijay should have gone back if his words not taken in a right spirit. Now we need to collect money from the players who has not potential enough to win matches. There should not be any politics in the game of cricket. Better dravid & co pack up and play some seven days matches.

hai Dravid this is 20-20
by emon on May 13, 2008 02:33 PM

Dravid pe bharosa karke Malya ko kya mila ?
Shane worn ko dekho team ko kaha se kaha le gaya. Aaj top pe hai. Kewal apna pradrashan jarroi nahi, team mai jan phukne ka kam Captain he kar sakta hai aur koi nahi. Apke regular player Zaheer Khan sabse jyada 14 wicket lekr top pe hai, Praveen Kumar 9 wicket le chuka hai. Bowelling achi hai lekin batting nahi chal rahi hai. Batsman are not hitting the ball. Dravid is responsibile for this 20-20 bad show.
