Laugh at Mallaya
by Vijay on May 12, 2008 11:17 PM  | Hide replies

Banglore loses again..

Dravid should be flogged in public, chained, dragged down by a horse, stretched, halved and stoned again...

All these greedy Indian businessmen deserve this and also more

Mr. Vijay,

What a savage person you are! Looks like you have some personality disorder (if you are above 18 years) or a conduct disorder (if you are below 18 years). For the words of physical harm you are mentioning, your IP should be tracked down and you should be dealt with accordingly as per your age and law of the land. Period.

Mr. Vijay,

It is not about who got hurt and you don't have to be apologetic about whom you hurt. It is a matter of mental make up and you got it all wrong. Simple. Such hate talk about physical harm is not on.

Really, Mate? Just read whatever you wrote again and think for once if anybody who talks like this deserves to be called decent. Maybe you can demand his resignation as captain, maybe you can demand for his retirement from cricket...well I don't know. You might have some choice words to say to me as well. But it is a game. People win and lose, and it really pains to read comments like this irrespective of which player (or person) we are talking. These guys are champion cricketers and only one team will win the tournament. There will losses along the way. Waugh scored his first test century after 40 tests, and Sachin scored his first one day century after 80 odd one dayers. I don't know why I am typing all this. I am just trying to say, I don't think this is appropriate.

dravid has to resign
by shyam on May 12, 2008 11:13 PM

1.      blore worst team in IPL but actually not bad players but not even one of them clicked which nobody can predict. Cameron white whose strike rate in 20-20 is 160 was scoriong at 70 today. I don%u2019t think this is his natural game. It is bcos of Malya%u2019s comments so everyone playing for their place.
2.      Misbah good start but got out so stupidly as always
3.      Dravid should resign right now and return all his money so that atleast his dignity is maintained. Ofcourse he could be just a support player near 120 strike rate but with the entire team doing so badly the captian has to get out. No inspiration.
4.      He should also never take part in 20-20 games going forward.

MALLYA HAS REASONS TO GET FRUSTRATED
by vaibhav kumar on May 12, 2008 11:01 PM  | Hide replies

Its quite obvious that Mallyya is absolutely frustrated with the INSIPID AND LACKLUSTER leadership of DRAVID and the lack of togatherness of his team for which he invested huge sum of money.

This is where you get it wring while selecting player on thier SO CALLED OVERHYPED GREATNESS. Mallya really got naked with his whole and sole belief on DRAVID AND CHARU combo. Both of them found wanting in this version of game. To add to the agnoy, they included KUMBLE who is as pathetic as Dravid himself.

CLEARLY MALLYA FAILED IN THIS BUSINESS DEAL, IN RELYING ON ORTHODIX AND RIGIND MINDSETS OF DRAVID AND INSTEAD USING HIS BUSINESS SKILLS, HE READ MISERABLY WRONG AND GAVE THE FATE OF HIS FRANCHISE TO AN OUT OF FORM, OUT OF WILL, OUT OF CHARACTER, OUT OF ENERGY, AND OUT OF ATTITUDE, DRAVID.

Dravids, Kallis and Kumbles are best test players but they are over as far as fast ODI and ultrafast 20-20 is concerned. MALLYA HAS GOT EXPOSED FOR HIS POOR BUSINESS SKILLS AT LEAST IN ONE GAMBLE, CALLED IPL.

Hi Tarun,

Don't take refuge by quoting your place. It doesn't matter which place you come from as long as you have facts with you. Rahul "The Wall" Dravid is the lone soldier of RCB Team as of now and is the leading run getter for them, which, by his own standards, isn't good enough. What can he do if none of his team mates are performing? It is always immense pressure under which he is walking out to play. With such poor performance from his team he or anybody else can only have the freedom to play the way he is playing, because, after him, there is none to depend on. Things don't pane out as you expect them to. So, please stop your childishness of trying to take refuge by quoting your place.

I completely agree with ravi.quoting a place is not required at all.do u think jaipur could win all the matches that they did if watson would've made 0 or 3or 5 runs ? then you would blame warne of never being known for his captaincy.but now u admire him and its being said "australia didn't have one great captain".So, please stop blaming 1person for the failure of the entire team.......AND MAHESHWARI PLS DON'T WRITE FOR FILLING SPACE IF U DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO WRITE.

Tarun,

You say you are from Banglaore. OK. Can you tell me one player better than Dravid in Karnataka at this moment. You only need to play 4 foreigners. Captain alone can't win matches.

Bengali rasgullas hate Dravid for everything. Don't carry away by their postings.

Mallya got his 'corporate' team all wrong....
by Vinayak Gadekar on May 12, 2008 10:15 PM  | Hide replies

Can't understand how a great businessman fell prey to the best player of Test Cricket and the best commentator ?

Any suggestions on why Mallya might have selected a non-T20 star and a TV commentator to be his T20 icon player and his CEO respectively ??

dravid and charu sharma have selected a '20-20 test team'. dravid has become dull after india crashed out of the world cup last year. who told mallya to include dravid in his team. dravid can control only few players who wont talk much.

MALLYA DONOT KNOW HOW TO SPEND MONEY
by naga raj on May 12, 2008 09:41 PM

I Think that Mr.Mallya donot know how to spend money which he earned from liquours, Air etc., He could have consulted a Bangalore gully person to make a selection which would have given bangalore atleast 5th or 4th position. ALSO IT IS CLEAR FROM THE FACT THAT WHY INDIA MADE AN EXIT IN FIRST ROUND AT WORLD CUP IN WEST INDIES. HATS OFF TO MR.DRAVID, MALLYA FOR TEARING THE RESPECT OF BANGALORE. YOUR MOMEMTO TO BE KEPT IN EACH STREET FOR YOUR VALUABLE CONTRIBUTIONS TO CRICKET. BETTER ARRANGE SOME BOLLYWOOD HEROINES, CHEER LEADERS FOR DRAVID AND HIS TEAM FOR FULL NIGHT ENJOYMENT IF THEY QUALIFY FOR SEMIFINALS.

its official abt ipl fixing.
by ben hur on May 12, 2008 08:39 PM

Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) official sitting in the Delhi Daredevils dressing room during Thursday's match at the Kotla, busy talking on his cell phone. The man in question is a well known bookie in the Capital.
The ICC made it clear that the IPL is a domestic tournament and their Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) officers would not be present.
even vijay mallya admitted that ipl has a corporate side to it and its not merely ckt.
so it is official that ipl is a fixed entertainment.

by ben hur on May 12, 2008 08:26 PM  | Hide replies

at last someone agreed abt ipl.
"... people need to understand that the IPL has a corporate side to it, and a very definitive corporate side. It is not at all cricket in the traditional sense," mallya said.

this is the commitment of mallya, which indirectly hints that its not merely ckt all the way in these matches. just like all the politics and corruption in corporate world to go up the cadre, the same applies here in ipl and to win matches, many sacrifices are made to achieve the victory 'target'.
ipl is masala fixed ckt.

atleast now the players, officials, etc., are better accountable compared to ones played purely under BCCI/ICC umbrella.
