Wh doesn't Dravid play Cameron White? He was given a chance only in the first match and was made to sit in the bench in the next five..Cameron is probably the best all-rounder Dravid has in the team. I hope he gets a chance in the next match atleast.

Hello, Dravid has option to play only four foreign players in the match hence accomodating White in the team was difficult. But now Taylor has gone back and Kallis and Steyn may also return to their home to play England, Dravid has option of playing C White and Misba in every match
It was clear that the umpires gave horrific decisions against Laxman and Styris at the most crucial juncture - it would have been a easy win for the chargers otherwise. Laxman was at his sublime best while Rohit Sharma is the find for the nation and will be a regular fixture in ODI's, 20-20's and the tests without any doubt. A few more runs by Gilchrist and Gibbs would have sealed Royal Challengers fate. Chargers can still do it - by coming from behind to win the next 8 in a trot. Maybe a pipe dream but then who gave a chance to Rajasthan at all after their 1st game loss .. Warne would have hid his head in the mud with all the analysts just ruling them out in totality ? Lets see.... CHARGERS GO FOR THE IMPOSSIBLE AS YOU HAVE NO OPTION ANYWAY..

Bangalore's Explosive batsman Misba-ul-haq also got out bcoz of very poor umpiring. It has affected both teams.
DC have to try giving a chance to Ravi teja who is considered to be a good batsman. Try him by sending him top the order might be a wild chance. Sorry to say Arjun Yadav dint prove much. Unfortunate that Ambati Rayadu is with ICL

I think 9 is that magic number. Even with 8 wins a team may not be able to make it to semis.
Atleast 9 wins are need to make it to semis...I have heard Laxman Siva Rama Krishnan saying this to VVS and Laxman was replying back that we would take one game at a time rather than looking at the total picture... blah blah blah...

Or even 7/14 will do, if there are only 3 teams winning more than 7/14 matches, and if the performance of DC is good in the matches played(in case there are other teams that have won 7/14 games). Anyway, seems like a distant dream. I just hope they will play with some dignity and put up a tough fight in coming matches, even if they lose it.

Nope the chances of DC qualifying for semis are very less.
Let's say if they would win 5 out of remaining 8, they would have 6 wins in total.
Punjab, Chennai, Rajasthan, Delhi all have 4 wins already and all these teams are capable of winning atleast win 3 games in the remaining 8 considering that Bangalooru, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai are playing below par. That makes the tally of these four to atleast 7, which is a higher number than 6. And only four teams qualify for semis. There is no super six stage in IPL.
To put the long story short, Deccan Chokers should come out as real Deccan Chargers in the next edition of IPL. They are here in this edition only to complete the formalities.
strike rate of 150 can b considered as good in this format. below 150 s/r may b okay or average for batsman. and in crucial situations, s/r of even 200 can b attained which shows one as a good batsman. and as for laxman or other players scoring with s/r of 120 (although very good for odi) is not sufficient when the required run rate is above 8 rpo ie. require s/r of 135 runs per 100 ball.

he defined his role and he is playing well in his role. His role is to provide anchor and see DC dosent lose quick wickets. What can he do when his team mates are not performing.

definetely laxman is doing what he is asked for.though he is not considered as twenty-20 format player,he played more than his potential.but other players r not supporting him. he is playing gem of an innings. he did best what he can. better luck special laxman next edition of IPL.
in t20. strike rate of 150 can b considered good for batsman. s/r below that is just okay or avg. not to mention of. at times of crunch situation, s/r of even 200 can b attained which vl rate a batsman as really good. laxman batting with 120 odd s/r is not good when the run rate required is around 8 rpo i.e. s/r of 135.

There are only few players who are really contributing. There are many players like Arjun Yadav (son of Shivlal Yadav) who get a spot through some influence and doesn't contribute at all. Can't believe Shivlal Yadav has an influence on IPL.

yes your right Truth Seeker , I thought this IPL will bring talent with out any politics but its not the case here , Arjun yadav doesnt deserve a position cuz his average is not that good in domestic matches but still he was picked up ..Ffck the Batards who ae gttng politics into the Games

boss, he is doing his best even though his star players like Gilly, Afridi are doing nothing. Without him DC would have not come this far

I am supporting Laxman as well here. Other big names should fire and play consistently. They should support Laxman and Rohit Sharma.
