Sorry to hear what others as well as our people say that we are underperformers means we lack talent. We like cricket, whoever plays it doesn't matter. We go, play cricket with such huge passion, you will not belive it. All the modern cricket shots been played now a days are been invented in each and every gully of India long back. One example is Viru and Uttappa. Sorry to hear the reporter asking about the ICL's poor rating and Tony defending it. Infact we don't bother who is playing there, all we want to see is cricket. That kind of passion we have for the game. Even when we go out there and play we play with huge passion. Better is to come out of the rooms and find boys playing cricket out on each ground. Sometimes we feel, we play better cricket than any of the cricketing nations in the world. That's why we get irritated when we see Indians losing the games or playing not upto the mark. It is just that we want to pursue our academic careers, may be because of the parents pressures we don't really take it as a profession.Carry on with your ideas, don't think above cricket. As Sachin says Crkt is a not just a game here,it is Truely a "Religion Here". We care damn to even skip our studies, our works in the office to watch a cricket match which India gets involved in. If BCCI,ICL,IPL lives or not,we play cricket in our grounds with passion which drags us to see someone playing also.We liked Kapils the way they played, But surely didn't like how Sunnys Played. Lng lve ckt

Yes, we need 11 batsmen while batting. Even if a team goes down 34-8, there still should be a chance to win from there with specialist batsmen batting from both ends.
the other option is to make every batsman to bowl atleast one over, much the same way the poor tailenders are forced to bat. That way the real bowlers' economy rates will be truly appreciated.
If you don't like my comments, please leave me alone. Don't bring East-West, North-South into this thread, please ;-)

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The BCCI has absolute power in world cricket at the moment and that can't be a good thing. I reckon the ICL's going to get bigger and better and pretty soon Zee and FICA are going to team up and take the other national boards to court over towing the BCCI line and banning their players from joining ICL. FICA and Zee will win that case no problems, meaning foreign players can play in ICL and for their country as well. This will leave BCCI in an awkward situation. In the long run I hope the BCCI and ICL continue to run their parrallel leagues but a more superior body is formed which sits on top of both of them and looks after Indian cricket on a national level, for example selects its national team, etc...
BCCI-IPL-FRANCHISEE-SPONSORS-COMPANIES-FROM U AND ME. This is absolute waste of money in IPL. the companies who r spending on IPL will get their money by increasing prices of day-to-day items in circulation. for which U & ME only have to pay. SO, WE R PAYING FOR AUSTRALIANS WHO INSULTED US, WHAT AN IRONY!!

Tony Greig has been brain washed by the media who were always with Dalmia as the media is controlled by people comming from East. It is sad that even Tony has succumbed to this pressue. Earlier Kapil, Malhotra, Gavasker, Yashpal Sharma, were all forced to sing Ganguly Chorus to get him included in India side inspite of that fellow having the maximum strictures from ICC and also carried on with Dalmia withan average of 17 from 40 consecutive matches, never heard of similar things elsewhere in the world.
Tony Greig has always been biased towards Indians. Even when Sachin played that awesome and magnificent innings in the finals of CB Series he was just saying "its pleasure to watch Tendulkar playing" Well duh!! this is one of the examples, another is in Cricinfo where-in he says Dale Steyn will horrify Indians. For the record Tony something similar to this you told as well just before India went to Down Under. Please stop with this downgraded comments. No one will but it. And also, look at the record and the pressure when Sachin goes out to bat and also the opposition he faced over the years. I would rate him on Par or just below Sir Don. Most of them dont agree but for christ sake look at the record.
And also in one of the articles about the greatest all rounder, Tony says he would pick Imran and Botham over Kapil. Well; Imran was a great leader no qualm in that. Nothing against Botham, but what is wrong with Kapil? Kapil on his day was the most devastating batsmen of all the all rounders who have played the game. And also here, when he came to the Indian side their were hardly any fast bowlers.
Conclusion: Tony, please stop with this derogatory remarks of yours.

I agree partly with your comments. Commentators today tend to be biased based on the network they are. All 7 sport commentators were biased for Australia. The most ridiculous was Ian Healy. But Ive seen Tony comment in other stations and he was pretty neutral except when you play against SL, which is his selfprofessed fav team. Frankly I rmemeber him getting as excited as anybody during the 1996 WC when tendlya was at his best. Maybe theres bitterness built over time, but there are worser commentators out there.

moreover the ball with which Harbhajan Singh became the fist indian test player to take a hat-trick was bought by Tony Greig in an auction
