by rayagouda shiraguppi on Mar 08, 2008 12:56 PM  | Hide replies

Each and everyone from all other countries would have felt happy except Aussie fans that means once the great Sunil Gavaskar said Aussies aggression on field is not reflecting out of the field its true and see the result I think each cricket fan became happy to see AUSSIE DOWN is it not my friends.....

Why can't India become #1? In the last 2 years they beat WI in WI, Eng in Eng, drew series in SA, lost narrowly to Aus (large part due to umpiring and inadequate preparations before the 1st test, beat Pak). Tell me which other country won so many games abroad? How many teams gave Aus a real fight? Just wait for a year or so and this Indian team will be #1, if they keep playing the way they did in last 2 years.

Abusing somebody without a valid reason put pressure on oneself and this is what is seen in the pressure game of cricket with Australia.

Rini Babu
Aussies weakened by Ponting
by Rini Babu on Mar 08, 2008 12:01 PM  | Hide replies

Mr.Ponting is the sole cause of Aussies defeate and he will be; Please do recollect what Sun Tzu once said in "Art of War", "There are five dangerous faults which may affect a general:
(1) Recklessness, which leads to destruction;
(2) cowardice, which leads to capture;
(3) a hasty temper, which can be provoked by insults;
(4) a delicacy of honor which is sensitive to shame;
(5) over-solicitude for his men, which exposes him to worry and trouble.
These are the five besetting sins of a general, ruinous to the conduct of war.When an army is overthrown and its leader slain, the cause will surely be found among these five
dangerous faults. Let them be a subject of meditation." Let us hope he learns.

Hello, I fully do not agree. Australia have always cjheated in all parts of the world. Umpires have been done in by pressure tactics. Lee, Mc Grath, Flemng etc have been ;let off with warnings while other brown and black teams have been penalized heavily. Melbourne and Sydney tests were undone from India's favour by Bucknor, Benson, Symonds etc.
India's threat to pull out was the real cause of fear and of course australia were simply exhausted by the time they entered tri series final.
For the forth coming tour of australi and west indies, australia does not have a quality spinner which can be a great handicap

Healy is a Pathetic One sided analyst.

Rediff, please publish some unbiased articles. This man just know to defend his team.

" Sydney looked better, and except for one umpiring decision (Rahul Dravid's [Images] on the last day) and 15 minutes of pathetic batting"

See how he is trying to justify the umpiring blunders. He is simply an australian, nothing more than that!

Aussies weakened by Warne, McGrath's retirement
by Nirpinder Singh on Mar 08, 2008 11:43 AM  | Hide replies

I suppose that these guys did do a lot for the team. The main message to draw from them is that one has to be good to be appreciated. In India we have players who are the highest paid in the World who act as if life is one grand party although they know that their nation has many poor people who show no sign of social responsibility who try to extract as many financial concessions as they can etc. The poor Indian public who gives them so much adulation merely because the team gives them a fasle sense of pride in believing that India can take on anybody in the World does not know that the team members play only for the money. Not for the Nation.
