Hey babban.. You still around?.. What did Manjrekar say? Let's hear that.. and what will make the stupidly idiotic "Punter" wake up and realize that he walks on to the pitch with a bat after all?.. No Manjrekar's in Australia?.. Isn't it the height of stupidity?.. :-)

Forget it Mahesh... your stupid logic won't work here anymore... It didn't take him a Manjrekar nor a idiot Dave to get him 41 centuries and 56 Man of Matches.. What makes you think different now?.. Your comment is the height of stupidity :-) But of course like the others making such comments, you won't know it yourself.. :-)

amma yaar bacche ka ak MOM awards kahan gayab kar diya..it's 57 now ;)and 42 centuries
RE:RE:No choice for ''Tandla''...........
by Another Indian on Mar 03, 2008 11:26 AM
I was talking about the "pre-Manjrekar" era that Mr. Mahesh Dave was referring to.. :-) Dave apparently thinks that the 42nd century and 57th MOM is owed graciously to Manjrekar.. I was asking him what are the balance owed to?.. :-)
Dhoni is a no non-sense captain. He has been the only captain so far who showed the courage of criticizing Sachin for a series of poor performance. He had the courage to do this as he had steered the team out of trouble several times after the top order including Sachin had failed. I am sure if Sachin had not woken up and started delivering he wd have dropped him too just as he has dropped Dravid and Ganguly. We must remember that the players, whether senior or junior are there for the team and the team is not for them. It is just lack of such thinking that has kept India losing in important matches. With forthright persons of the younger generation having taken over, all that is changing and Indian team is winning more often. In a way it reflects Indian crickets evolution and maturity and emergence of professionalism. However, hats off to Sachin for standing up to the call of the hour and proving his worth yet again. Also, hats off to Dhoni and Manjarekar for calling a spade a spade and serving Indian cricket well.

Mr Ashish Do you beleve Sachin was responding to Dhoni and Sanjay?Sachin has played under many ,more talented captains in last 18 yrs He does not need WAKE UP call from novices like Dhoni to realise what he should do.Remember at this stage of team building India needs Sachin much more than Sachin needs Indian team.Only here in India we talk of oldies youngsters, talent is given go byApplying same logic why dont you sack Yuvi,Bhajji,Dhoni and pick up kids from under 19 team which won yesterday? Sachin is a emperor of cricket field today He will get respect not alone from most Indians(barring a few) but all round cricketing world You may hate him but you cannot refuse to regognise his skill, behaviour, and last but not the least his stature

I do believe Sachin has responded to Dhoni and Sanjay. The ruthlessness with which Dravid and Ganguly have been dropped shows unmistakable intent. It is enough to put the fear of God in any one's mind. Let us remember one thing. Rahul Dravid is a great batsman in his own right and performance of Saurav has been quite good lately. But to this new generation captain the good is not good enough. Sachin saw the writing on the wall. The kind of success Dhoni has been riding, he is in a position to guillotine any one. And the kind of talent that is abounding in modern India, every one has a ready replacement. I think Gambhir and Rohit Sharma have already cemented their places and Dravid cannot come back. Fortunately for Ganguly, one of the opening slots is still open. May be he will make a come back after this series.

Dear PKR, i forgot to respond to one point. I DO NOT hate Sachin. I hv great regards for him but even the greatest need motivation. Sachin is so lonely at the top that he goes into a trance. Some one has to jar him up to attend to the needs of his team.

If Dhoni is no non sense captain why is he still persisting with Yuvi? Please reply... He just doesnt like any senior guy in team be it performing or non.
RE:Contribution of Dhoni and Manjerekar

Dhoni is indeed persisiting with Yuvraj despite his failures. Many hv found it intriguing and have even assigned malafide mitives. I do not agree with this. Yuvi is kind of player who can, on his own, turn a match on its head. He is also a good finisher. Apart from being a good fielder he is also a handy bowler. Such a player is always given a long rope. Remember the case of Sahwag. In modern cricket, experts keep analysing games of opposition batsmen to find chinks in their armour and batsmen have to innovate to take care of the new methods of assault. Yuvi seems to have been sorted. He has to be given time to innovate as his genious is not in doubt.

RE:Umpires will cheat in the second final!
by Ashish Kumar on Mar 03, 2008 11:05 AM
There was umpiring problem in the first final too. As it appeared to me and many others, Clark was given out wrongly. Such mistakes are part of cricket. God forbid, but next time it can happen against India.
RE:Umpires will cheat in the second final!
by Sunil Dharam on Mar 03, 2008 11:13 AM
stop kidding!! you should know the difference betw intentional umpiring gaffes (like the Sydney test & several other matches involving aussies) and unintentional umpiring mistakes which is part & parcel of cricket.

"Zindaa hoon", what kind of an inciting racial comment is that? What do you mean "Future lies with North?"
Please do not use such provocative language. Have you ever forgotten the fact that WE are still INDIANS???
Didn't they teah you "Vande Mataram" and the National Anthem about India?
It is petty, narrow-minded people who fan the flames ignited by another group of petty, narrow-minded politicians and let the country burn and be the way what it is today....
Please think big yaar!!! Get over this regional feeling...
