Australia is great

Damien martin was man of the series when he quit.its just they dont play for money. They win coz their 100% concentration is on Cricket.
Indian players are insecure and you cant blame them 100%
They want to earn as much money as they can before they retire or are thrown. Indian board does not give players sense of security

Player like sehwag who lick the baord are secure as he keeps failing and he is still in team

Sachin was out of form for 3-4 years and he surely stopped a young budding cricketer in that period and he was still in team and on other hand when a player like Mark waugh or Steve waugh does not perform they are sacked..

Indians always feel negative. When we had gavaskar, the buzz was he was the greatest and no one can be compared to him but India got Sachin and now people talk same about sachin.

India has 1 billion people..And am sure it can produce sachins time and time agian but we just love to see same things and never wnat to try different

Hayden, gilchrish have tremendous fitness level but our oldies just arnet fit to play. Am sure Sachin will again be injured soon as he has been playing a lot and I feel its right time for SACHIN,DRAVID,GANGULI TO RETIRE and let a young player play..India will loose many matches but surely u wlil find some one new who can carry on India for long time..

one more point....."WE WILL FIND SOMEONE NEW".....that sounds u r agreeing to the fact that we cant find 11???

alas i feel sorry for that SOMEONE...20 odd years from hence...n he would b facing a similar wrath from the critics...
FOR A SIMPLE FAULT....Y IS HE STEERING THE TEAM ALONE SO LONG, WEN HE KNOWS HE CANT WIN IT ALL ALONE coz its a team game.

dont blame seniors. they did not play in 20-20 and india won the cup. the same success they cannot replicate in one day matches (Gambir, Uthappa, Raina etc.,) and in test matches (Gambhir, Yuvraj and Dhoni). do you think that yuvi will play like sachin to be in the middle order. replace them by phasing out a course. not in the same time. you are right that sachin was not in form some time back. But india at the same time tried many players. like kaif, Gambhir, uthappa, yuvi in test matches. they never clicked in test matches. I think until you dont find suitable replacement for sachin do not replace him. As you write australians have their own system. they phase out the retirement of a player and keep the replacements ready. Michael clarke, symonds and pointing in the middle order for steve vaugh etc. and they have suitable replacement in the opening also. do not compare that with ours. whom you will name in the team instead of dravid and sachin to bat for the team in australia. especially sachin is in good form right now. try out youngesters in ranji matches and try to bring them into the team. do not excite much with them by their performance in ranji team. send them to england if possible in any county team to get practice for how to play swinging ball.

it isnt that v dont hv players in india. but v dont gv chances to them. cant blame seniors in this series, they hv performed here.
but u cant say the new players wudnt hv played well in ausi. players like akash chopra n parthiv patel both had performed well during the last tour and the more importantly they were in good nick in the recent season, still they cudnt find a place in the team. they cud hv made a difference in place of useless players like jafer, dhoni n yuv.

same goes here too....isnt Dhoni blocking a budding Kartik in tests????
n as far as tendulkar goes...he had jus two bad test series...one at home vs england...another in pakistan......
dont translate it into 3-4 years
even if his avg dipped...it was at par compared to the rest of the pack in the team...in the remaining series

in australia, mark waugh was dumped to accomodate simon katich....steve waugh moved out to get in michael clark...martin for symonds....langer for jacques....n gilchrist is moving on to giv room to brad haddin...
aussies prepare a back up first n then let go the seniors off
its methodical
not simply age

else they would have asked hayden, hogg too move on too

You are either ignorant or biased against sachin..coz he has been among the top 3 highest scorers for the past year or so. Plus his strike rate, running between wickets and fielding skills has been awesome. There is no reason for sachin to retire just because he has got to mid 30s..Common this is not public sector companies where everyone has to retire at 60. As long as he is playing like this and contributing to India's cricketting success, People like you can avoid meaningless comments and let him play.

If somebody scores in alost match it is great achievment that he only stood for his team . He could raise teams total when main batsmen were out. That is great. He scored 71 in perth match also along with dravid 91 & laxman73.

It was the Famous Five who have done proud!!
by blogged on Jan 27, 2008 12:51 PM  | Hide replies

The whole of India was crying when the Famous Five(Sachin, Sourav, Dravid, Laxman and Kumble) were selected. All these guys have performed well above there ability. The Dave Gowda of Indian Cricket (MS Dhoni, Remember DG how he became the PM of Indi0 a) and the SIXer Hero (there records say sowere fighting to stay at the middle. Infact the Sixer Hero gave an excuse of Injury to sit and relax with his extra carricular activities ....

We give undue importance for people and who have achieved once or twice or never in their life for what they were but did something once or twice in their life (on and off the field) Hope people remember Pat cash of australia who won only one title and Anna Kurnikova who didnt win a single title

agree....but the problem with the people is simple
they have jus 1 word in their dictionary....AGE
n have jus 1 game in their passion...20-20

WHAT IS TEST CRICKET? has it been introduced recently or what? n why these guys r playing 4 five days...they r supposed to play 20 overs each na...
i think this must b a warm up or net session going on for the real clash on 1st of feb

see dhoni, yuvi have saved their moments for that day
hahahaha

1 guy lost something in his dark room....he couldnt find it coz of the dar
so he moved out and started searching it on the roadside under the street light
!!!!!!!

same goes here.....critics cant leave the big3 out.....they r to b blamed.....no matter dhoni made 0 against both lanka n bangla

we lost at sydney...agn they will blame the 3...
adelaide test if draw or whatever...they ll agn blame the three
