teaching them a lesson

Instead of withdrawing charges agaist Hogg, they should have also gone after Ponting and Clark for claming the wrong catch, both should have been BANNED for 5 test like R.Latif. and taught this aussies a game spirit.

This is not good
by Rambothu S on Jan 15, 2008 06:51 AM

Pawar and co. are managing this like fools. Sorry to say this, but all indications are in that direction. It clearly shows why Pawar could not make it at the national level as a great politician. He is a null guy, neither honest nor intelligent.

INDIA IS A CORRUPT COUNTRY WHICH LACKS A SENSE OF PRIDE
by srishti on Jan 15, 2008 06:33 AM  | Hide replies

INDIA IS FULL OF PEOPLE WHO DONT GIVE A SHIT TO THEIR COUNTRY'S HONOUR AND IT IS HERE WHERE INDIA LAGS BEHIND AUSTRALIA. INDIAN CRICKTERS HAVE THE SAME SKILL AS THEIR AUSTRALIAN COUNTERPARTS AND THEY CAN BEAT THEM. BUT THE DIFFERENCE IS AUSSIES PLAY FOR THEIR COUNTRY'S HONOUR SO IS WITH THEIR BOARD AND THEIR PEOPLE.
FOR INDIA IT IS NOT THE CASE. I HAVE LEARNT FROM MY FRIEND WHO LIVES IN AUSTRALIA THAT THEY PREFER TO BUY AUSTRALIAN MADE PRODUCTS TO SUPPORT THEIR COMMUNITY. TILL THE TIME WE HAVE RESPECT FOR OUR COUNTRY WE CANT BE A GREAT NATION. WE CAN HAVE GREAT PEOPLE IN BETWEEN BUT NOT A GREAT NATION. AND SOFTWARE OR IT ALONE ISN'T GOING TO MAKE US ONE, ALTHOUGH THEY ARE CONTRIBUTING A LOT.

Screw this BCCI IPL crap. Enough with this moron, and they money spending spree on Aussie players.

I support ICL, atleast they are giving bread and butter to our own players, who got pratically nothing from BCCI. I know this first hand as my first cousin has played Ranji..

no justice in threats

Making threats is not justice. Bhajji must be guilty. India should ban him for one year for lying to us about the monkey business.

No, I don't know what you mean. Please enlighten me.

My comment was about bhajji's guilt or otherwise and not symonds. Bhajji is a fine player.

If you want to make Symond your relative, then you will need a woman frrm your family.
Who told you Bhajji lied?
Its Symond, Pointing, Clarke, and Hayden who lied. Bhajji never said anyone monkey.

India was on the strong wicket, but....
by Ramesh Kapoor on Jan 15, 2008 04:23 AM

it has given in to ICC and by withdrawing the charges against Hogg it has fallen from grace in my eyes. This is giving the other cheek. While it is true that the ICC cannot withdraw the proceedings of the appeal, but then this was not a question before a court of law. So Harbhajan will still have the sword hanging over his head and Hogg going free, what a tamasha. Good Luck!

kudos
by sunilkumar mishra on Jan 15, 2008 03:45 AM  | Hide replies

the bcci n the indian team deserve all the kudos for the way they have kept the "racism" abuse alive for the whole fotnight intevening period till the Perth match without any respsite for the fans, now it is becomong more n more clearhow successful they have become in hiding their blatant and miserable failure of the team in the 2nd test match n how they have been able to divert whole attention to an issue overblow-up. the wholecricket crazy public has been hoodwinked and blackmailed into believing that nations' honour is most important in not loosing the game successively but in embrioling in faltu controversieat least that is what has happened at the end of ths saga with witdrawal of the charges by the " gentlemen Kumble"

Hey MIXra,
Your comments itself shows ur knowledge of the game as well as how good sportsmen u r. Firstly we would have never lost this test...if u saw the match at all u and u have any cricketing sense...its always being a Gentlemens game which Ponting Boys screwed up but still BCCI has to be favourable...and act as if its tough coz soo many crores r into it...its high time we also become like these firangs and take interest in multiple sports...Balls to ICC cricket.

mind u we r not gentlmen cricketers the way we have behaved like crybabies in the past, somany instances we have stood our grounds knowing that we r out, be it tendulkars or others, u n me know that umpires r not mechines n with drawing room live crickets, the umpiring is under tremendous pressure to be on dot on 100% case which is not possible n technology also not fullproof all the time n i am sure no cricketer wud like the technology to take over this human game. tell me how many times wrong decisions in favour of india have been right -gestured and players of the opponents called back by our team and how many times our players given out correctly have been acknowledged when we have stood our gorund unabashedly
