Funny trade for the IPL
by manoj prabhakar on Feb 20, 2008 07:17 PM

If only the players are purchaseble items. The day is not far off when the results for the matches can also be bought, that is to say"MATCH FIXING".

The next stay can be either purchase the player or the match result and further sell it in black market also!!!!!!!!!!

Hi folks ,

He is really a shrewd bussinessman .He knows that if these jokers do not play well he can use them as extras in his next movies. He has chosen the teammates taking movie characters in mind
Sourav ganguly --- The friend of the hero who dies at the starting of a shahrukh movie(well how he can prefer giving even 5 minutes role to anyone else than himself)
Shoab Akhtar (The BAD man ) ..Well he also dies after 5 minutes in the movie(Well bad man always gets a lot of praise ..and shahrukh does not want anyone to steal his role of Darrrrrrrrr)
Ricky ponting--Well in indian moviews you always have an angrez among the gundas who keeps on getting beaten the whole time..Fortunately he stays till the end of the movie and the sequeal as well..
Mc cullum --Well ofcourse there is always a Johny walker in a shahrukh movie ...

Mallya is a greater businessman than Khan. He knows what wants and where to spend.

Too early to say which team will be the best. Let's wait for the complete team announcements.
I'm sure Dravid's team will perform in a very lousy manner. He's never known to be a good captain. Chennai and Mumbai looks strong right now.

Why Pakistan? Anyway almost all Indians are selling the country whenever they get a chance.

Srinath, The core team is still being built and hence too early to say. I agree that Akhtar has an attitude problem but hopefully that was only with some people in the pakistani squad

Chennai and Hyderabad seem to be most agressive bidders
by Abhay T on Feb 20, 2008 07:03 PM  | Hide replies

Chennai and Hyderabad seem most agressive bidders. With Sachin and Jaysurya, Mumbai team is looking agressive as well. Mohali has selected some good bowlers. Kolkata (SRK) team looks like a gamble to me. Ganguly and Ponting both are arguably toughes players, but I'm not sure whether they can play together. Interestingly, Ganguly (the only one) had praised Ponting after Sydney test! But, Ganguly is struggling with slower strike rates in ODI. Ponting has only recently improved his strike rate. I'm not sure about whether they are fit for 20/20. But, anyway, it the combination will either completely flop or might work with a big BANG! I expect a very strong performance from Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai teams.

the real cricket lover among the bidders, it seems now, was Malya. he wants to win the game. and to win the game u need a team, and not collection of stars. Howmany times has a collection of stars called World 11 has won the game. wait and see. that is y the articel calls him the sleeping giant

Ah sparrow, Dravid is a lousy captain and so no matter what mallya does, bangalore will not make it big as a team. Chennai is looking the strongest right now followed by mumbai and mohali.
Mallya is good at running a drinks business and making kingfisher calendars. Let's see if he can do something to cricket...

Absolutely right! My argument is you have to first perform very well, the popularity and money follows afterwards. The real commercialisation of cricket happened only after India won 1983 world cup! So, hockey team needs a really strong CHUCK DE performance and then only they can expect rewards. Unfortunately, many people feel sad about attitude towards other sports. But, that's how it is! You can't force popularity, you have WIN it.

Well, indian hockey federation needs to do something to revive hockey. It is their job to do that. An actor can only do so much. It is the hockey association which should do something like what BCCI is doing with cricket
