Everyone is eager to know at what price their favorite player has been bought, dont you think it is a disgrace to the game once called a gentleman's game now on sale. Our players are auctioned like products on display & sale, it is a stinking concept though it rakes in lots of money for these corporate buyers. And when the Indian farmer is starved and dying, and when the poorest of the poor are finding it difficult to get 2 square meals a day, the nation and its corporates who use its rich resources to thrive and make business spend huge sums of money on buying the already richie rich players of the game.
Dear Corporates, there is something called as corporate social responsibilty, why dont you spend the money on the poor and economically backward people of this nation and brighten their lives, do we really need to buy these cricketers when there is enough cricket already. Dear fellow citizens, reading this if you find my prayer unreasonable, i beg your pardon.

Mr.Balasbramanian,
You've no doubt made some valid points. There are many ways to look at this commercialization of indian cricket....
I would like to share my views: This is not about "India's plight" as you've termed it. It is about taking the game to the next level. It will do no harm to gentleman's game. This is a newer version of it. That's all. And with this league, a lot of youngsters in India will get a chance to showcase their talent. Not to forget that it will, in a way, also put india in the global map.
As for corporate social responsibility, investing in a sports' league is not against that. CSR is a buzzword you are trying to use, albeit in the wrong context. Corporates would be doing their bit towards it independent of this context. And may be they could spare some profits they make from this venture (in case they make any) towards social causes.
I have at last come to marriagable age and am seeking a partner which I am unable to find. Please organize an auction in the Ram Leela ground or somewhere so that I can be sold to the highest bidder. That will give me a wife and some money as well (I am as usual broke).
Mandatory Statement: I promise to do whatever my owner asks me to do.

Price depends on what the gal can get in return. ur price would be calculated based on the "measure" of ur potential and a zero appended to it. No offense on the low price, there are just too many single guys out there in the market, including me :)

RE:SRK you could build a hospital or school

Dear Mr. Gupta, I appreciate your feelings. However, for your kind information, Mr. SRK has donated a few crores for building a paediatric ward in Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. This is one of the best in Mumbai. I am the witness for this as my 7 year old son had spent nearly 4 months in this ward. regards, shankar

Let him make his money, dude.... Why are you guys stinking of jealousy if he's splurging his hard earned moolah? May be once he's made enough, he might give it all away like Billy Gates....
If you want to make hospitals and schools, do it with your money...

BCCI will pay contract money. Minimum bid values were also set by BCCI. I'm not sure how much broadcasters will charge for these matches. Does anybodu having some idea about it?
