SALUTATIONS TO YOUNG PLAYERS
by rambo only on Aug 29, 2008 08:13 AM  | Hide replies

* SACHIN RULED OUT DUE TO INJURY JUST BEFORE ODI TEAM SELECTION
* SEHWAG OUT OF TEAM BEFORE FIRST ODI.
* YUVRAJ AND GAMBHIR- ONLY EXPERIENCED BATSMEN IN TEAM - BOTH OUT OF FORM AND NOT SCORING

All Indications towards a 5-0 defeat .
But what a performance by young players .
Hats Off to Them.

there is no use Mr.Rambo ,Some People find it difficult to digest Dhoni and team are doing a great job. They are just cursing and calling luck .It is very simple ,,,they cannot digest Dhoni's success. When Sachin and Ganguly failed.it si natural for them to groan and fart.So dont bother. When the going gets tough , the tough gets going....

MANJREKAR ON DHONI
by rambo only on Aug 29, 2008 08:09 AM

With Tendulkar ruled out of the One-day series and an injury to in-form Sehwag giving the team another jolt just before the first One-dayer, who would have given this Dhoni-led team any chance at all? But it seems like we need to get used to Dhoni and his habit of giving Indian cricket fans some pleasant surprises.
He did it in the World T20, then there was that triangular win in Australia and now this series win against Sri Lanka. Let me tell you, beating Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka is no small achievement. India have now beaten a full-strength Sri Lanka three matches in a row and each win has been emphatic. It’s an accomplishment that the Indian team should be proud of.

MURLIDHARAN ON DHONI (TOI DT 29-8)
by rambo only on Aug 29, 2008 08:07 AM

Ten days ago everything was going right for this Sri Lanka team. Now, though, we are faced with the huge disappointment of having lost our second consecutive home series after losing 2-3 to England last October. There can be no excuses. India played better.
Once again MS Dhoni was in the thick of things. He has been a stumbling block for us all series and, ultimately, he has been the main difference between the two teams. His 192 runs in the series thus far, the highest aggregate in both teams, has guided India to matchwinning totals.
On Wednesday we were establishing a strong position as India stumbled to 81 for three. One more breakthrough, especially Dhoni’s, and we could have been chasing a sub-200 target. But Dhoni has repeatedly consolidated the middle order throughout the series and he did it again.
I don’t think we bowled that badly to him, he just played really well. That happens. You can’t expect Ajantha or I to just run through the middle and lower order all the time. Dhoni was just very good with his shot selection, worked the ball well for singles and executed his own gameplan expertly.

WHAT A TURN AROUND
by rambo only on Aug 29, 2008 08:04 AM

* Sachin ruled out due to injury just before ODI team selection
* Sehwag out of team before first ODI.

With two experienced players gone, and looking into the Test Series performance, Everone predicted a 5-0 defeat for India.

BUT WHAT A PERFORMANCE IT HAS BEEN BY DHONI AND HIS YOUNG TEAM .

THREE CHEERS !!

Dhoni winning by luck
by The Legionnaire on Aug 29, 2008 04:44 AM  | Hide replies

There is a small opinion that Dhoni is winning by luck. I agree with it. So whats wrong in that?

For any sucess there is a combination of various factors and luck is one of them. Success and luck go hand in hand.

Some questions to dear bloggers:

Have you ever seen anyone getting successful and terribly unlucky at the same time? How can you be succesful and not lucky?

Why does the luck only favour Dhoni?

What do you prefer more? being lucky and win matches or being unlucky and loosing matches?

If luck is the only reason for Dhoni's success then shouldn't he be buying only lottery tickets and win everytime?

Luck is not everything my friend , you can keep calling luck then there is no end to it.You are born by luck , got married by luck , You are here by luck.Learn to give credit .There are something people dont agree and find it very difficult to digest. When Sachin or Ganguly could not score more than 80 for three matches , how come such a new batsman can hit 70s for two matches. It is not luck , if you dont understand , you will never will...

My friend seems you have not understand what I am implying. I am saying even if it is luck then lets accept it. If you read carefully my last sentence is the crux of entire thing: If luck is the only reason.....

Now if you don't understand, you never will..:-)

Sandip patil wants sachin in 2011
by Raman on Aug 28, 2008 10:35 PM  | Hide replies

Sandip Patil one more to join the atrocious list of biased hypocrites

I read a article Patil writes in a website,in which he has a list of sure shot players
playing in 2011 wucp, guess what it is headed by none other than Endulkar,i used to think
that Patil wasnt like Gavaskar or Ravi Shastri, but again he also has proved that is
more commited to his state than the nation.

How the hell can he say sachin be a must pick for 2011 when he isnt even a must pick for the current
team not just cause of his fitness or lack there of but the team doesnt even seem to need him
Dhoni said he missed Gambhir and Sehwag when they missed out on the first odi and not Sachin

Yea Dhoni did praise the Fab 4 but that was more in the tests and he being a match winner and someone
focussing on winning games than individual glory would never want Sachin to hang in there if he scratches
for hisruns and plays for 100s in like all 50 overs

I know Sachin doesnt want to retire but with people like Patil and the people in power
like Vengsarkar Shastri and Gavaskar always guarding him he would be a fool to think of retirement

but the fact is his body isnt gonna last 3 years for sure,no matter how many breaks he takes

It doesnt matter if he is just 38 yrs old(yea just 38 like how his fans say he is just 35),all it
matters is that body of his has played more than what it could take...and it shows the way it is
reacting now...

I feel for the youngsters of our country, none of them a

Sachin is taking a break at the age of 38. Dhoni has started taking breaks at the age of 26!! Sachin has been playing for 16 years, Dhoni has played only for 4 and already lsoing stemina. Sachin is being called "Endulkar" after crossing 30. Dhoni seems ready for retirement in hs late 20s!! so much for being "young" and mor fit than the "aged" players.

Dhoni is taking a break because he has won us so many matches by being a captain a great batsmen(match winner)a wicket keeper and doesnt want to play all matches just for personal record and money and wants to play when he can give 100% unlike ur master blaster who never won us a wcup despite playing in 5 editions, never plays under pressure, never thinks of retiring even after play 500 odis and 200 test matches(almost)and hangs on for ever
yea sachins fitness might be better but those days there was no IPL no ODI series every other week no test series every other month no 20-20 and most importantly his captain Azhar wasnt all that aggresive like a ganguly or dhoni to push for wins all the time, was happy to win in India and loose all outside and yea fix the rest of matches in Sharjah
Kapil never rested in 131 test except for being dropped, does it mean he wasnt unfit in between,he was he just wasnt loyal to the country like Dhoni..look at the results when Dhoni plays adn look at the result when fab four played

India never won a match against Aus for chasing morethan 200 with out Sachin's bat. it's 1998 or 2008. U know the team we hav to beat to get the WC is Aus. So definitely India need Sachin if u want to hav limited over WC also. Indian bowlers r the stars in this srilanka series win not only DHoni. If bardi or raina not thr it would have a otherwise result in all the 3 matches.

or even test spots until this fab four especially sachin think of making way

yea yea before u guys talk about desert storm and his 100 in aus(finally after what playing 4 series there from 1992,1999,2003 and this year)
think about our nation for a minute
