Dada should become head of Indian football league. He should search the talent in football and make a good team as he did in cricket in past.

Thats why I an giving that suggestion. He is very good in talent searching. IFL should give the responsibility to Dada for searching good talent in India. He has playing football in past.

very true!!! the tons of money is flooding in cricket is all because of him and Dalmiya. Unhone Neev daali aur unko hee laat maar ke baahar kar ke ab sab baith ke khaa rahe hain...

The boom in indian cricket and new talents which we have is all because of him.

We need Dada for searching talent in football now. No need in cricket. It will be better for Dada and India both.

Consistency
by Sneha on Aug 28, 2008 04:50 PM  | Hide replies

MSD is performing well as a batsman after being the captain of ODI team. All the greats of India are in decline, so there is space for new faces to enter the team. To cement their places they are giving maximum. In turn that is becoming a factor for all victory under his captaincy.

But don’t conclude that we are in the rise. Nothing much can be read in this victory. The same old story of decent total and sudden collapse can be seen in our batting. Our bowlers too fail to finish off the tail decently. Lapses in fielding continues.

Thank SL for not performing well. Thushara played better than any. Sanga had poor series. All helped heavily.

So to be great Dhoni should be there for a while. Just 29 test match and 100 plus ODI and T20 world cup alone could never make him the great. (CB series had a helping hand of one Senior, not that much great one Mr. Sachin)

This is our not best ODI team. Sachin, Sehwag, Ishant, Srisanth are not there. If Sachin and Sehwag were there we scored 280. If Ishant was there Srilankan talendor can't make big score.

That 6 sixes exactly was the reason for Yuvis downfall, that success went to his head and he was boasting all around the media about it
He said it was Gods gift to him after he was hit for 5 sixes in a ODI(shame shame)by Mascarahanas of england, well now what is this form of his since then?Whos gift is that,is it his gift to GOD?

Success and failures are part of the game and if success is gods gift then what is failure Yuvi?
He is one arrogant party animal, cricket isnt a Mahabaratha or a mahayuda where u avenge each other, its a game and Yuvi failed to remember that god gifts all not just Yuvi..
His father is his biggest enemy who coems out and says Yuvi should be captain even when dhoni is doing a great job..yuvis test place is never assured and he said he will cement it byend of the year,at this rate by the end ofthe year he will loose his odi place as well

Continue without rest......

Every player of Indian team is free to take rest as Vengsarkar said previously. But our players wants to play in every match wheather they are fit or not.
Why some people are criticizing Dhoni? He has guts to talk selectors about rest.

Dhoni the great........
by Anurag Rathore on Aug 28, 2008 04:15 PM  | Hide replies

Many had criticised Dhoni's decision to skip the Test series, forgetting that he had to endure such a gruelling schedule this last 18 months (14 Tests, 56 ODIs, eight Twenty20 internationals, and the IPL). In the Test side Dhoni has yet to cement his place, as one century in 31 matches suggests; in fact, he was dispensable at the time he announced he was opting out. Dhoni is the most important member of a young one-day side and he realised that for the better.

Numerous television chat shows slammed Dhoni for the loss in the series opener and for reportedly influencing the selectors to pick young talent instead of ageing, vastly experienced heroes. Now Dhoni has led this group, with their struggles and pressures, to win a series few expected them to even contest.

He also won Idea cup against SL with a match to spare.

Did Sachin,Ganguly,Dravid,Kumble,Laxman or Sehwag ever skipped any Test match?

They are all in present team. Had cemented their place in test squads (not the situation now)

The question "Is 14 test, 56 one day, eight 20/20, 14 IPL (for 6 crore) in 18 months (1 half years) need rest" That is around 150 working days in 600days for handsome income.

Talent is talent, but pride for playing for country should come first

Laxman and Kumble only playing in test.

If you squat up and down 540 times for a day in Tests, 300 for ODIs, 120 for T20s, you will understand fatigue.
