i laos think men of the match award should be given to Gambhir and Irfan.Gambhir also played alike a hero
now this the time fro sachin, sauraav and rahul to resign from ODI and concentrate on test only and give chance to youngesrers. after winning TTWC,nothing to prove

Ravi, Its not like that.. T20 is a different form of game and ODI is a different form of game.. You need different levels of temperment for both the games.For example no body scores @ an avereage of 8-9 per overs in tests. they play cool..We defenatly need the Tridev for atleast few more years to come.. On Dhoni's captiancy he has led the team of crackers who were willing to burst.

Dear pramodgr iyengar now we will see that in ODI also all teams will play like TT.But if all three will play how young players will get chance.they have already played arround 1000 ODIsnow they should play TEST onlym good for them also, no doubt they are best in the world.

Dear Ravinder, You felt that this is the time for the batting trios to step down from the world one day cricket, you're wrong then.Do remember we select players on merit not he is old or young.There is no room for sentiments just bcoz they won the world cup without them.I just bring to your memory that ganguly had been taken out of the ODI side for nearly a year.After that he competed with your youngsters and proved he is the best among them for the ODI selection.Take jayasuriya he is still playing well,Hayden etc.Merit players are needed for the indian side.Hope my statement make some sense for your question.Besides,its always gud to have some tlaented Experience players in the side bcoz 50 overs is a different form of game.

It seems that all the fools have forgoten that sachin was the leading run scorer in ODI's in England and MoS in South Africa. Atleast talk some sense when u talk about him

Since from WC defeat India has played a good cricket only, only lost to England in one day series, but they played well.
India should not again commit the same mistake that they have done earlier by ignoring the senior players on the basis of few success. in 50 format game go with T-20 team would be big mistake.
And for Dhoni its very important to be in a form , playing good crickets and set an example. I am afraid that Dhoni's fate would be like Saurov, even more worse as he has already lost his form.
cngrart.........india now pls any body will stop hindi comm. like surendra khanna,kirti azad mohindra sing and other kya sarkhapauu commentry karte hai........

You r absolutely right...i think they r doing commentry with close eyes...for god sake stop hindi commentry...
Ind n pak both hv some positives from the tourney. India without big 3 achieved success, young players showing grit n not lose control in crunch situation. RP, rohit%u2019s hidden potentials came out. pak found players like misbah n Tanvir(thnx to shoaib akhtar%u2019s misbehaviour) situation.
Heartiest congratulations to Mahi and his team for excellent team work and winning World Cup for 20-20 and that too after defeating Pakistan. No doubt Pakistani team is equally good but Jo jita wahi sikandar.Keep it up.NC Joshi,Adani Knowledge Centre,MUNDRA(Kutch-Gujarat)
My hearty cogratulations to the young INDIAN team who had won the 20-20 world cup again pakistani's .It is a very good sign to see the young guns are all firing .Very well played all guys.
I wonder what happens to our heroes once the big 4.i.e Sachin,Saurav,Rahul and Zaheer comes back. It pains to know that Rohit,Joginder,Karthik & co. will be dropped from the ODI squad. Its a pity.

It is true that some of the young guns who brought cheers to crores of Indian cricket fans, are not in the ODI squad right now. However, we can be sure that they will come into active consideration very shortly, as the ever-confusing BCCI had announced that they will adopt a rotation policy in team selection. Though it will unsettle the team balance, it may provide opportunities to fringe players who have started excelling.

I feel selectors should retain the same squad for the first 3 ODIs and later change the squad depending on the performance
