Forgive Pakistan's English
by boddu mohan on Sep 25, 2007 12:47 PM  | Hide replies

Forgive Pakistan's level of understanding in English. Probably he already prepared before the match and thinking whole night, what to say after the match, irrespective of question. Earlier Injumam use to tell default messages irrespective of questions asked by Ravi Shastri or whoever it may be, and its Shoib Malik turns. He doesn't know what to speak on presentation ceremony just tells like that whatever he preapred. Don't blame him.

Future on Indian Circket
by magesh on Sep 25, 2007 12:47 PM

its time we show the world how mature we are in cricketing management. Lerts have a team for 5 days match, and 2 teams that can be prepared for 1day and 20 overs match. As Dhoni said 20 - 20 is going to be a big big money spinner in India, similar to the football fever in europe, we will soon see emergence of clubs and Legaues. Indian sports has just received a big boost . Thank to the world cup win.

Twenty-Twenty

None will disagree with me if I say that Sachin Tendulkar, Saurav Ganguly, Laxman, Agarkar, Kumble, Rahul Dravid are all past their prime, well past the time when they could give their best in skill or in athleticism. Their best years are undoubtedly behind them. Now, looking at the performance of the Indian cricket team at the T20 tournament at South Africa, don%u2019t we need to think whether these illustrious cricketers (of yester-years) should at all be brought back into the team when the domestic season resumes soon?

Should we push out some of the youngsters %u2013 who have performed exceptionally well in South Africa %u2013 just to make place for the likes of Laxman, Saurav, Sachin et al? For what reasons? Should a winning combination be disturbed? Should youth be sacrificed for (occasionally-performing) experience? Should we look backward rather than forward? This young team should be the team for the future, and built upon.

This is perhaps the right time for someone in the BCCI (Mr. Vengsarkar, perhaps?) to pick up the phone, and gently suggest to these senior pro%u2019s to gracefully retire.

Yes very true...Its the time youngsters r given their due credit & some non-performing seniors should retire gracefully...But we have doubts that any of these non-performing ones will go gracefully..

INDIAN MUSLIMS ARE NOT FRUSTRATED BY PAKISTAN'S DEFEAT YESTERDAY BUT ARE CERTAINLY FRUSTRATED BY HIS DEFEATED SPEECH.

He should learn English first. He should NOT be sorry for frustrating Muslims around the world. He should be sorry for his supporters in Pakistan and himself.

Indians and Indian Muslims are with INDIA first.

Moreover, he should not mix Sport with Religion.

Hats off to Indian Cricket Team! It was a fantatic game. Thanks to God, He turned the ball from Pakistan's court to India at the end!!!

Long Live I N D I A !!!

Why didn't they protest against Musharaff / Nawaz Sharif for losing war in Kargil. Looks like they can protest only against their cricketers...

Who the hell u are to advocate on behalf of Irfan or for that matter Indian Muslims? Irfan, Sania, Dr. Kalam are INDIANS first and Muslims next! Which Hindu Organisation does not hail their contributions and achievements?

People like u destroy the unity of India with their useless and negatinve comments/views!

At least at this moment of glory, have some positive attitude! Yes, Irfan did a great job as he is expected to do as a member of TEAM INDIA and not as a MUSLIM. He is a worthy son of India.

gallant Pakistan
by mallikarjun vantagudi on Sep 25, 2007 12:44 PM

Kudos to Pakistan team for putting up a great effort. Ufortunately only one team has to win. But there is nothing to feel depressed for the loss as they faught gallantly and the match could have gone in anybody's way.
One thing Pakistan's team must realise is that invoking GOD should remain a personal prayer and not to be worn on the sleeve. it is fine for them to be religious but this needs to be confined to their dressing room. This is only a game and involving religion unnecessarily would slowly make the game the way terrorist organisations want to segregate the society.
Please enjoy the game and have fun. It should end at that.
