Its really shocking to hear about Rahul Dravid's resignation as Indian Captain. We were all looking forward for more accolades for the country under his captaincy. Hope he changes his decision !!!!

Indians will alwayz suck b-coz of this regionalism...guyz just grow up...take it as one indian has resigned and another indian will be takin his place...be proud to be an indian rather then bengali or marathi or malayali....

A very good captain.
by A. Jacob on Sep 14, 2007 06:53 PM  | Hide replies

Its not good to compare any person to another, as each one has his/her own share of good and bad qualities. No on is perfect. Dravid, as a captain, and overall as an Indian cricketer has been very good all through. Many think that aggression is very important for captaincy. There are many areas where patience works much better than aggression.
It would be great if he reconsiders his decision. Anyways, he has been performing well with the bat too. He will do better. Our best wishes to him.

Dravid the worst captain.

best captain

1. Kapildev
2. Azaruddin
3. Sourav Ganguly

Dravid resigned bcoz he wants to play in 20:20

Do not forget how he acted after Ganguly was dropped by Chappel. Our man Dravid needs a BIG BROTHER under whom he can hide, and presently there is none. His decisions became rudderless and he is too insipid to inspire a team. He basically played with team built by Gangu. He failed to take decisions at moments of need.

This is a clculated step to take Sachin and Gangu out of the team. Just wait and see. Unless good sense prevails, this resignation will start some mud throwing.

Shocked!!!
by Joe Paulson on Sep 14, 2007 06:52 PM

I wonder why BCCI is not baffled by his decision to quit - may be they are the reason for dravid's decision (which always they are) - they have casually fixed a date to name his successor - why pondering out for reasons when there is no hue and cry from the board who is the highest body of Indian cricket - let alone dravid do the talk with the bat !!!

Appreciate your thought man...The main problem with us is that we relate ourselves with our region rather than the country...We are INDIANS...I would request ppl to get out of this narrow regionalism

You Bangaloreans try to be Indians first - and accept that this man was a total misfit for this job. Earlier this decision would have been better.

Niharika heroes are not big and small, both dravid and ganguly are heroes in their own ways. While ganguly has tremendous man-mangement skills, and is second to God on offside(Commented none other than by Dravid), and has a very intutive brain, plus somehow is extremely lucky...dravid on the other hand is amongst the best test batsman India has everproduced, he is a total team man, workethics are one of the best, and has an extremely logical brain...just how well he now plays in one days, compared to his younger days...

Dear Dravid
by navin kumar on Sep 14, 2007 06:48 PM

Dear Dravid after world cup's debacle there was a strong rumour that seniors are acting like mafias.. they don cooperate, they bully juniors ..even batting first agaisnt bangladesh was also on insistance of seniors as they wanted some batting practice... but in chappel's report no such thing was found.. but so many crickets fans still believe there was something fishy.. please u must come out clean and reveal everything that happned during ur captainy tenure..it would be the greatest service to indian cricket as it would certainly help to wipe out the players who take things for granted and don show professionalism!
