Better not to critisize Tendulkar -- Great Player
by kotha reddy on Oct 26, 2007 09:52 PM  | Hide replies

People don't comment Tendulkar. He is real player for indian cricket. Nobody is like him playing so many years for india(Media mess about his Ferrari) and talking about world cup its all upto their fate.In 2003 they went to finals but in 2007 they were eliminated in first round of matches. So indians please don't say something about fellow indian. And about Dhoni he is role model. We wish him to play for many years and make jarkhand some importance on indian map.

All the best Dhoni....Go Go Gooo..

Why the he ll you bring Tendu into the matter now? If u r mad about Tendu, that's fine. most indians r like you. Talking about Dhoni does not mean that India has forgot Tendu. You don't have to be g for Tendu. At the same time you have to accept that cricketers other than Tendu will be in limelight in future.

This one is a reply to Mr. Raju.

Indians top everywhere in the world, be it software or technology or biotech or any other field for that matter. 40 per cent of this cream in the world is from India. AND OF WHICH 'MIND YOU' MORE THAN 30 PER CENT IS ALONE FROM ANDHRA PRADESH, WE THE 'GULTI' TEL GOO LANGUAGE PEOPLE. Learn to respect other regions and languages Mr. Raju.
Well I guess i should also add that India should be at the bottom of list where such idiots as Mr. Raju are alive.

waiting for the time when the car is put on fire and all free god stuff he got broken down once he comes back from tour of Audtralian.

Its our hard earned money that we pay in form of various taxes - Income tax, sales tax, indirectly excise tax etc....thats the corrupt politicians donate in form of gifts to these useless cricketers.

This amount is supposed to spent on nation development

Rightly said words.Make law so that the corrupt chief ministers won't squander govt money,ie people's money on sports persons. When Karnam Malleswari won a bronze medal many CM's competed each other by offering her 20-25 lakhs each. They can't do that, the money should have been better used for electrification of rural villages, give drinking water for them and render better education for millions of unfortunate and down trodden children.Let private ofganisations do whatever they want but Govt should not play with people's money. It is a crime.

Karanam Malleswari was promised moon and was given the Mitti. Not just her but also Koneru Humpy, Dronamvalli Harika. In fact, at a point of time Mr. Harikrishna was thinking in the terms of quitting the game. Such a pathetic situation for players. Luckily, Sania is at least earning something from advts. so that she can pay for coach and trainer etc. It is not with the case of every one. Only cricketers are benefitting out of it. Of course some of them dont need any cash awards. Instead it can be given to some other players who are in need of it. BUT THEN HOW CAN THESE politicians GET PUBLICITY?

Karnam Malleswari deserved what she got..she didnt have money to train and when she won an olympic medal she deserved all the accolades she got.. and if you say giving money to sportspersons is a crime then why cant u go use ur Right to Information and ask where did the funds come from..just critisizing the chief ministers on rediff.com is not going to make a difference..why cant you be an active citizen and take charge

I totally agree with u. Instead of spending the money on the development the govt is gifting these cricketers. this is their profession and they are getting paid for their job for every match they get paid a salary and moreover they also have acontract ranging from 15 laksh to 60 lakhs.

Dhoni is a tribal boy of Jharkhand. A complete rural guy. Still he has shown tremendous attitude to succeed. He is and will be the role model for lots of ruralites in our country. We must all appreciate that he emerged good from this background. Though there may be political motives behind this presentations, he deserves appreciation and this may inspire more from rural areas of India to come up in life.

I agree to all of you..!!

But, will anyone criticize the Govt? If they say valid arguments like this, there will be a lot of stupid ppl to conclude this as JEALOUSY of ppl..

In a noble gesture, he gave back the money!! ha..ha...ha.... There are several ppl who donate money without even publicizing their names.. and that too the money that they earned....!!

The way the things r blown outta proportion is really interesting to see......!!

Dude at least let us appreciate Dhoni's action. Did we not read about other cricketers who took the gifted money without any hesitation. Since he has enough of it, he has returned it and that too for the CM's relief fund. When money has been gifted to him, it definitely becomes his money and instead of appreciating his act of returning it, if these words are uttered then would really hurt.

Hey Ghati Raju!!!! Its not the caste but the mankind which makes human as superman!! I am not telling that Dhoni is a superman but certainly is a man Down to the Earth, not like Sachin and Saurav. Can u show any instance where either Sachin or Saurav spent a single rupee on charity ?

Services for the Disabled
Services for the Elderly

Youth Welfare

and he also runs every year when his match schedules permit in the standard chartered mumbai marathon to raise money for homeless children

hahahah Srikant S...that was a mooh-tod jawab....!! Mr.Arabinda Sain..why this fascination with rich people necessarily having to give to charity? Does that make them ideal people in your eyes? Charity comes from within.it is their money..on what and to whom they give or spend is their perogative. It is not our business to judge them because they didnt give to charity. Why?? What is the need? Charity need not be the past time of rich people. Your question has no validity since you are judging Sachin/Saurav as people who do or do not give to charity Vs Judging them as athletes or sportpersons who represent India on the cricketing stage.

I agree but Sachin did't perform in crunching situations. He melted like morn due when the situation really mattered. Lloyd,Richards,Imran,Inzamam,Jayasurya,Steve Waugh, and Ricky Ponting exploded when it really mattered. I don't rate Sachin with them. Sorry Sachin you are a nice and likable guy and good cricketer but we expected little more from you.
