He coudl have gone liek Sachin Sourav etc to open restaurents or show rooms,,,but this guy has show character! Proud to ahve you as an Indian captain Dhoni.

Stupid !! If Sachin and Saurav are opening restaurants what is wrong with it. They are investing their earned money for future. There have been case of rich people dying poor because they spend like kings and never thought of future. Every sensible person does invest in some form or the other. As far as charity is concerned if you dont know whether they are donating or not it doesn't mean ki they are not donating

Mr Singh you have singh on your head or elsewhere. it's not limbo just look at Srilanka team what they were during 1981-87 what they have become now.
Oz are not the god of the cricket & secondly nothing in this world is forever.
Windies were at the TOP during 1975-82 & now they are at the dusk.

Hence, stop dreaming like nonsence & think positive be Indian & Proud like an Indian.

We are among the best don't forget T-20 WC performance. That just a start.

MIND GAME
by ravi indian on Oct 26, 2007 07:13 PM  | Hide replies

AUSTRALIAN STRATEGY STARTED RIGHT FROM THEIR ONEDAY SERIES EARLY THIS MONTH.AND NOW THE CLARKE'S STATEMENT EARLIER ON THIS SITE.THIS IS THE MIND GAME AND THEY HAVE MASTERS DEGREE IN IT. INDIAN PLAYERS MUST MAINTAIN THEIR COOL AND ANSWER IT BY THEIR PERFORMANCE. AUSTRALIANS START THIS MIND GAME WITH THESE COMMENTS AND MAKE OTHER TEAMS OR COUNTRIES IRRITATE AND, IN IRRITATION, OTHER TEAMS FORGET THEIR ORIGINAL PERFORMANCE.

SO I AM REQUESTING MY TEAM MEMBERS, DONT BE IRRITATE, THIS IS THEIR IRRITATION.

AISE LOGON PAR SIRF DAYA KI JATI HAI GUSSA NAHIN.

Some ppl do things and never take credit from Charity. Do you know how much Tendulkar is giving to Mumbai slum kids and other organizations. If dont know anything then keep your mouth shut.

When was the last time you saw even a photo of Tendulkar at a charity function? And yet, he gives his spare time unstintingly.

Journalist Joe Hoover knows this hidden side of Tendulkar well.
Sports Editor of Deccan Herald (Bangalore), Hoover has organised numerous charity auctions and functions where Tendulkar is the star attraction.

"He is so approachable and he never says no," Hoover told me.
"He doesn't need the publicity because unlike some other sportspersons, he sees no need to use these acts to improve his image."

Hoover recalled an incident in Pakistan in 1997 when he called Tendulkar in his hotel room and asked him if he could give some signed bats for a charity auction.
"Within minutes he was on the phone, informing his bat manufacturers in Meerut to send over a dozen to New Delhi for this purpose."

If you know what that means!!!

Ms Shah. In response to your query, please read this. On Sept 12 2006 a reporter asked a panel of cricketers comprising Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Harbhajan Singh and Tendulkar himself if they have any plans for personal contribution besides items on the auction. This apparently prompted Tendulkar to take the mike. "I will take the opportunity (to answer)," he said, adding, he has been sponsoring 200 students regarding their schooling, tuition, travelling and scholarship. "I have been doing it for many years and had kept it under wraps. I did not let the press to know about it," he said. "I am sure Indian cricketers also do personal contribution (in their own way elsewhere)," he said. He said the school children he is helping out are in Mumbai but declined to give further details. "They can't afford (to take care of expenses of education)," he later reporters. He said he has been associated with "Apnalaya" NGO in Mumbai for the past seven- eight years. Tendulkar said he does charity and personal contribution for personal satisfaction. There is a general perception that Indian cricketers do not make personal contribution for charity, he said, indicating that it was not so. To a question, Ganguly said he has raised Rs 50 lakh to renovate children's ward at the Dr B C Roy hospital in Kolkata and the work would be completed next month. Ms. Shah. This is just a tip of the ice berg. I wouldn't say I know a lot about Sachin. But yes I know people who know quite a bit about his ch

Tendulkar never donated.Rather he wanted exemption for Ferrari Import tax.Among Film Stars hardly anyone donated.Bacchan is most selfish one so as Sahrukh Khan.Dhoni"s gesture is good.Should be an example to other role models , who earns huge.Sourav is also one among the big hearted player , who works a lot for poor ,orphan people in North Bengal.

Oye Babu Moshai. Do not open ur mouth without getting any facts. Just try and google for Sachin's contribution and then talk. He has been one person who has always stayed away from publicity. It is guys like you and the other nut John who give publicity to Dhoni's contribution because it is reported. If this was not reported you would have spoken about Dhoni in the same tone as you are talking about Sachin. And by the way wonder who we are to talk about the contribution made by the cricketers to charity? Like they say Charity begins at home. Would you be kind enough to let us know what has been your contribution to charity? This question is for Mr. John as well.
