The telegraph on October 8 th report says ------------- Assistant secretary Snehasish Ganguly 's role will also come under the scanner. There has been growing pressure from a section of the members for his resignation. Snehasish has conceded to having introduced Pradip Todi, younger brother of Ashok, to the police chief. He is also a director in their company. It may be recalled that police had raided Todi's Burrabazar office in 2002 and arrested four persons in connection with a betting racket. Three computers and eight mobile phones were seized. Todi was interrogated by officers of the anti-rowdy section but was let-off. Till late on Sunday, Snehasish neither took calls nor responded to text messages from The Telegraph seeking details of when he got involved with Todi.
If Snehasish's Todi links do go back to 2002, then the wisdom of his continuing to have business ties with Todi is bound to raise eyebrows as younger brother Sourav was then the Team India captain.
How many people in contemporary or pre-historic cricket can we imagine who will unselfishly resign from the captain mantle in ODI/Test Cricket, and that too after winning a history making ENGLAND series after 2 decades? ABSOLUTELY NO BODY. All his TEST HUNDREDS have helped in either winning ( mostly) or drawing matches and most are on neutral cricket grounds. Do any of his critics recall that in the 2002 ODI world cup he scored maximum runs in the tournament as well as kept wickets? We lost in the FINALS. Short memory!!! The trials and tribulations he has suffered and gone through, nobody else in International cricket has gone thru. But like always a PHOENIX he has risen from the ASHES. Captain his as good as team, Why Austrila Struggle When They Have Super Captain Cheaty Pointer
its time Indian cricket realised that it should go purely by form and not by reputation and keep playing out of form "heroes" of the past. These holy cows of Indian cricket have never really delivered, but seem to have big reputations nonetheless. Worse is their tendency to look at individual landmarks ( see the no of balls they use in their 90s) only to lose the match.
Look at the statistics. Dravid is best at both format of cricket..after scoring 10565runs in ODI.some stupid guys singing Dravid is not fit for ODI format..it's shame on u guys...he is is 5th player who scored most runs in cricket history..get some knowledge before talk about cricket..

Ok remove dravid perfomance and give how succesful was ganguly as captain on crunch moment. for me hero in indian team will always remaim sachin & dravid, the way they help on the field (while bating)so called young cricketer nobody should have doubt about, he was there for any captain. but when his turn came, he is polticans. Our cricket fan thinks that only INDIA plays to win, others are only to make india win
