Vengsarkar has joined the M lobby now
by Kumar kumar on Oct 18, 2007 12:04 AM  | Hide replies

Yes i guess the whole country knows that it is the perfect Mumbai lobbying that has been characteristic in Indian cricket ever since SUNNY days.
It is but natural for Vengsarkar to wag his disgusting tail to dethrone a dignified & committed person like Dravid. Time will prove how worthy the other two seniors are in our team. And i pity Dhoni, for his single handed efforts are going in vain for the commitment shown by the kids(Pathan, RP Singh, Zaheer).
God save Indian Cricket.

Friends, I had an assessment around two years ago that all behind the scene games in Indian cricket (played by Ravi Shastry, Harsh Bhogle and Co) after Mr. Sharad Pawar took over as president were aimed at creating an environment for making Sachin Tendulkar the captain.
Accordingly they all were sustaining Chappel%u2019s arrogance as it somehow had seemed to aid their target.
Also, development of cricket in India was at one corner, Mr. Pawar and associates were busier in cutting and shaping their opponents.
Today, Sachin is the test match captain and MS Dhoni the one day. The said lobby decided some settling time to Tendulkar by not risking him against the mighty Australians at the very start of his new innings as a captain.

Learn to behave properly and write in a better manner - not in a uncultured way as you have written. Or else you will also be dropped into garbage bin like Dravid.

Dropping of Dravid
by Joseph Joseph on Oct 17, 2007 11:50 PM  | Hide replies

It only shows the the power of the Mumbai lobby in Indian cricket.Sachin Tendulkar has failed on so many occasions in the past few years ,but he has never been dropped. A few failures from Dravid and he has been dropped.Besides being the finest Indian batsman who has been carrying India on his shoulders, Dravid is also a great gentleman. The lobby wants to push Sachin to captaincy level in tests and hence all the politics. Someone has played real nasty or else a gentleman like Dravid would not resign all of a sudden from captaincy. The same lobby has forced his axing from the game today. Looks like his replacement scored a century!!!!!!!!

Dravid would not have resigned from captancy, if there waw no pressure from BCCI,

yes it surely shows the mumbai lobby in indian cricket, and now dhoni is the new creature who is going to prove that he alone can make india win the matches.

With all respect to Dravid many many great innings..
by Vamsi on Oct 17, 2007 11:48 PM

Players who can perform excellent in atleast two departments (bowling batting fielding) of the game are only successful today.
You cant win matches any more with 6 batsman and 5 bowlers, if 4 of your batsman cant bowl and 4 of your bowlers can even get into double figures when they bat.
Iam not saying we should have 11 all-rounders for every game. But present need is 6 genuine all rounders and 3 excellent bowlers and 2 excellent batsman.

You cant consider your self excellent bowler and bowl %u2013 2 wides and 2 no balls every match
Glenn McGrath ones mentioned that last time he bowled a bowl way leg side is when he was in school. If you ask the same question to our so called leading front line bowlers they say it is just 3 hours back.
Same way you cant hit a century in one game and keep scoring under 10 runs for another 5 games and still want to live with the past glory.
Kallis hit 3 centuries in 4 innings %u2013 does he really need to do that%u2026 Forget about hitting a century, our batsman once he hits a 4 or 6 he thinks he has blanket approval for 4 to 5 dot balls. This happened a lot in Nagpur game. Don%u2019t play matches to save your skin but to win.

Why Australia did not consider players like Justin Langer, Slater, Gillespie, Shane Warne, Damien Martin the list is so on%u2026.- they all retired from shorter form of the game. Are they not world class players.
I think it is time for old horses to gracefully retire and take rest.

Being a Indian Team captain
by Socratis on Oct 17, 2007 11:28 PM

Its seem if a player is made a Captain, its a unwritten rule that it is not his duty anymore to contribute either fielding, batting or bowling. Its seems Dhoni has taken this rule to heart. 'Speeding' from dressing room to pitch for batting and with double 'SPEED' he is returning to dressing room for 'TEA'.

what a shame

When poor form Dravid ruled out

With a billion plus people, it is shame that India cannot find eleven good cricketers! If dravid has any self respect he should have voluntarily taken LOA. If India wants to win in cricket, it should retire Harbhajansing and Kartik. Even Dhroniand Yuvrajsingh have not played cosistent cricket!!

Please keep cricket as a game do not make players Bhagwan or saitan leave them as insan. Since your logics are very emotional & base of very few seconds
