Captain.....
by Shankar on Nov 20, 2007 06:09 PM

For any captain to tour Australia is a challenging. There is nothing like pressure whoever plays in Aus. It is just a confidence however he play. Player should not think about the conditions and the opposite players how they perform. He should concentration on his own game plan and play positively.

Lee was coming back from injury his confidence was low in the previous tour.

But now look at his form and confidence, he performed well in India ODIs and now against SL, he has tasted the blood gonna have a go at indians

Ganguly should not selecteted to Australia for heavens sake
by pravin gawde on Nov 20, 2007 06:03 PM  | Hide replies

if Ganguly is playing means India are playing with 10 players only.
And an opposit side get one extra player at there end.
Means one run-out,one catch drop ,10-15 extra runs on misfild (Per Ining)

In 2007, following are the highest run scorers in one day:

Hayden: 1555- 29 matches
Tendulkar: 1425 - 33 matches
Yuvraj: 1287 - 36 matches (1 x 100s, 9 x 50s)
Ganguly: 1240 - 30 matches (12 x 50s)
Dravid: 823: 31 matches (8 x 50s, 3 x 0s)
Gambhir: 634 - 21 matches (1 x 100s, 3 x 50s, 3 x 0s)
Utthappa: 509 - 22 matches (3 x 50s and 12 x 0s).
Ganguly also is a very useful 5th bowler who enables India to take an additional batsman...he also bowled 76 overs in 2007 for 7 wckets and gave away 344 runs (liitle less than 4.5 runs per over!!!)

How many teams would dare to make him sit out???
So friends, stop this nonsense....dont compare him with these buch of idlis...even at the age of 36 he delivers and contributes a lot.

Gawde sale...pehle dekh, phir apna stupid comments likh...sale bewre kahin ke...

Please shut up Mrs.Ganguly.
Even your husband will not believe that he is a better batsman than Dravid and Laxman.

India v Pak First Test
by on Nov 20, 2007 06:01 PM  | Hide replies

India lost a bit of momentum by losing thefinal ODI

The question is do we have bowlers to remove Younis Khan n Mhd Yosuf.

Paks chance for win in the first test is 55%

India has to play well under new caption, hope they do otherwise it will be difficult.

The Pakis do not have the technique to play tests.

The bowling without Asif also looks weak.Only threat is Shoaib who has more OFF days than ON.

Indians should treat the Tests as practice matches for the Aus Tour.

Scoreline will be 2-0.

Bolo Sia Ramchandra Ki Jai!!

Dear Nasir Sahab,
Before pressing the submit button of your post, once please read through what you had written!
"Sachin has to prove that he can only score on indian soil".. :) Just now he proved his class against your Pakistani team, didn't he? Wasn't it in Indian soil?
If you wanted to say that Sachin plays only in India then either you are selectively blind or plain dumb, why don't you do us all a favor, just stick visiting to your Paki websites alone and don't come to Indian websites. Thanks.

We lag behind in bowling...
by Karthik on Nov 20, 2007 05:25 PM  | Hide replies

We do not have that powerful bowling attack. Bowlers like Zaheer and Pathan are good but not consistent. We need striking bowlers, atleast one like wasim Akram or McGrath or Pollock to challenge any team with confidence. Batting alone is not enough to win a series.

Not very hopeful
by Gabbar Singh on Nov 20, 2007 05:21 PM  | Hide replies

Well, not very hopeful that India can win the series under the leadership of a weakest captain ever.
Honestly speaking such dull person does not deserve the captaincy at all.
Let's pray to god that the team perform well.

aussioe are winning bcuz they play as one unit and with desire to win match. in team ind many players are superstars play for self record, sponsers, to save place for next match and for the group they belong within ind dressing room
Kumble is fighter, he gives 100% commitment and thoroughly professional. he will be successfuo only other 10 [players support captain and playfor team cause.
when dravid was captain some players never supported him it was visible on cricketing field
attitude / agressiveness does not mean that expressing emitions like useless actions like take out shirt or arguing with umpires
team only will win when XI players perform for team cause

Kumble is a dedicated sincere professional. Till years he had given his everything. Its really a good test in giving him the captaincy as MSD needs some more time to learn test cricket.

Test matches in 2007
Karthik: 6 matches: 571 runs (1 x100,5 x 50)
Tendulkar: 6 matches: 560 runs (2 x100,3 x50)
Ganguly: 6 matches: 489 runs (1 x 100, 3 x 50)
Dravid: 6 matches 394 (1 x 100, 2 x 50)
Dhoni: 5 matches 313 (0 x 100, 3 x50)
Laxman: 4 matches 219 (0x100, 2x50).

If you want youngsters to be given chance, it should be at the expense of Laxman and Dravid.

Not at the expense of Ganguly. Also Dhoni is a reasonable contributor with bat: even better than Dravid in average and way better than Laxman.
