Ponting is very much aware that his side doesn't boast of Mcgraths, warnes and martins. Ponting is also aware that it would be difficult to stop india from winning the series this time. We have adequate fire power in our pace attack along with world class spinners. Our batsmen are richer by their experience and are very capable.

Still, I'm doubtfull as our captain is one of the weakest links in our team. Morever, stop blaming Ponting without any reason. It's his job to keep the pressure up and he is doing his job. The real matter of concern is how do we sustain and fight back with a bunch of oldies and a dumb captain to lead our team

Our captain is the weakest link. i'm sorry to play spoilsport but we have the strongest captain thsi time around. We have a captain who's aggresive, who wants the best out of his players, who's well respected by his teammates as well as the opponents and quite simply the most outstanding test bowler to play for India and a person who's ready to lead the team to glory!

Sorry mate; cant agree with u. If u Look at the past and compare him with them, then u probably understand that he is not at all upto the mark. As a bowler he is not extra ordinary. If u look at the stats of Murali, Warne, u must understand that he is far behind them although 3 of them started there career almost at the sametime. I pray that the words said by u come true.

Sometimes stats don't reflect the quality of a player. Rahul Dravid for instance is such a great player but is often over shadowed by Sachin's, lara's or for that matter Ponting's "Stats". He has been the backbone of the Indian Cricket Team for the past 10 years yet we refer to him as only a great player whereas he's technically correct batsman something which both sachin and ponting lack.

Dravid took over the mantle of India's best Test batsman only around 2002, held it for 4 years and now it is up for grabs.
Sachin carried Indian test batting for more than 10 years. Have you seen him bat against the moving ball? How can you say that Sachin's technique is not as good as Dravid's?
