Also include the test match at Kingston in 2006 when Dravid scored twin half centuries in a test where all other batcmen were struggling to put bat to ball. India won the match as well as series.Dravid was both Man of the match and man of the series. Also, in England's tour of India in 2006, India won the test match at Mohali with Dravid scoring 95 and 44*. In 2005, when Pakistan toured India, Indi won the Kolkata test match by 195 runs. Once again Dravid was Man of the match with twin centuries (110 and 135). In the last 4 years whenever India has played well outside the sub-continent (England in 2002, Australia in 2003-04, West Indies in 2006), Dravid was man of the series. I am not too convinced with Dravid's captaincy but no one can doubt his abilities as a batsman and a match winner in test matches

Mr. Yusuf, you are correct and there are many more games that Dravid contributed, especially in the famous victory in 2004 against Aus where he scored 233 and 60 n.o in the same game. There is no point in responding to dumb people like Mr. Mohan Kumar who want to write something just because they have a chance to do so and lack basic cricketing knowledge.

The Indian team, after their win against Bangladesh need not go overboard!!

Bangladesh is a much better ODI team than a test team, and that's a fact everyone knows.Carefully analyse the ODI contests, and u'd know that India was "allowed" to win by Bangladesh - they got away easily, against any other top ranked world team India would have struggled.

Anyways, wait and watch the team performance against SA and England with the tours shortly taking place.

Height of pessimism man.. if they loose, they're not good enough (probably the worst).. if they win, then that's because they were 'allowed' to do so by their opponents.. nice attitude!

By giving MOS to Mr. Sachin, he is being pampered. He is no more a small kid. He is supposed to play & win matches for India. Stop giving awards to senior players 7 encorage new players & egg them up. At least Mr Tendulkar should have rejected the offer in favour of youngsters like Kartik, etc.. It will help in long run.

if youngsters will definitely do well if v give awards to them whether or not they deserve it then surely v should do it. come on man, grow up!!! tendulkar won the award purely on performance basis not because he is a star or a senior. u just hav a bias against him so the words. there hav been so many players who hav won such awards where r they now? example: murali karthik. what about harbhajan singh? do u mean to say such awards r only for yongsters not for performers?

OK... But main thing is that he has perform for INDIA. Youngsters must take inspiration to play more sensibly like Sachin, if they can they will also get the awards. why shud reject the awards.

Maharashtra Chief Manager was successful in promoting his son in Bollywood due to his power and infuence. Ritesh would not have become even a light boy if he had born to a common man. Soon Mr Deshmukh may promote his son to play for India by including his son in the team. Jai Maharashtra!

I never said Ritesh is not intelligent. But in today's bollywood a Dharavi product can become a sizzling hero if he has infuence and similary even if you are Ph d holder you may be given a light boy's job if you do not have a god father. You must agree that Ritesh entered filmdom not due to his architecture capability but only because of his father's infuence. How come Shivsena man started to support Deshmukh a congressman??

hey ..i dont think...the committee or the people who choose MOM or MOS favour anybody...be it sachin or saurav or dravid..karthik gets praised when makes a fifty and sachin gets cursed when he makes a century..even if his performance was not a match winning one..he did make a contribution towards the victory...if u cant praise atleast don curse..if he dosent play well he will be outta the team..at this point i dont think..Yuvi or Veeru can displace him in the test side..respect the guy its his 18th year in international cricket and he can still score back to back centuries.......JAI HINDUSTAN
