cricket will never end. team is there and players are there. india is biggest hub of the 26 ranji team. so alwayes u have good player. It need some time to settle and select them with without politics.

Since India has won you say it is a lousy performance. Had we drawn the test you would say that we can't even win against minnows. Like you most of the people have made up their minds to criticise India and Sachin whatever may be the performance. You people don't know what you really want. Just for the sake of finding fault you are doing it. Mention atleast one player who is capable of replacing Sachin and Dravid. The players who can replace them should be tested against all countries and all conditions. Till that time it is wise enough to have balanced a team of seniors and youngsters.

Ok ..where is the problem? when sachin came...he was with 11, 26, 35 , 23, 21, 15, 40. 29,23, 21,42 etc. was the runs. Team has given him a chance to settle nad he is now a big star.
If u give a chance to the new batsman ..he will be also like sachin. sachin main koi bahut khas nahin hain. 6 sal tak ak century nahin bana paya tha. aaur sachin ko kya 50 sal tak khelne dekhna chathe ho to aaur sab khiladi kya ghar main baithe rahein> ki jab hatega sachin tab aayenge team main? yah koi baat hain? sachin sachin sachin...usne khele india ko contribution diya bas ho gaya..aab aaur koi dega. kya sachin ka hi india hain kya> ki 60 sal tak wohi aaur seniors players khelthe rahein? uske retire hokar aab naye player ko place dena chaiye. naye bhi bahut sare tendulkar ban jayenge aagar politics na ho to. aaur samay diya jaye. drvaid ka average sachin se achha hain ki nahin? kya wo player nahin hain? dhoni ka average sachin se one day main hain ki nahin? aagar mauka hi nahin doge to kaise wo aage barhega new player? mauka doge to dhoni hi tendulkar ke barabar aa jayega. lekin use 3 no. par khelaoge to. aab 7 no. par khelkar fir bhi wo india main sabse average rakha hua hain. aare kuch aaur dhang se socho. sachin ka kya mala banakar aapne gale main 400 sal tak rakhoge kya?

Who do you think should play then? Give the names of atleast 2 players who can replace Dravid and Tendulkar. Dont just keep writing some nonsense here just for the sake of it and how dumb you are. I think you probably do not know what cricket is and just seem to be following some people who are hell bent on criticizing the players. There is no such thing as resigning. Only the captain resigns but the remaining players are either selected, not selected or they retire. Who are we to ask them to retire? If they are determined to be not good enough they will be dropped.

there are many players who can play better then these stars. let them time to settle. team can be better then them. teams making is a process where time takes certainly.

If india will start search among all ranji players, I do think that lot of other players will come into light. But indin cricet politics whose dirty games alalwayes there , they find dravid, tendu, ganguli, lakhuu, shabag is a real telent and they shold play for endless years. yaah to sharm ki baat hain ki aab unlog ko hi chor dena chaiye. dusre ko aana ka mauka to dena hi chaiye jo cricket main life barwad kar rahe hain.yahi player 20 match ke baad main strongest team ho jayegi aaur australiya iske aage tikegi nahin aagar upar wale players ko openly bina kisi politics se khelen diya jaye to.
it may have in starting they will loose some match but let them settle for 10 match-20 match. later they will become strongest team. what need of these four players alwayes in the team. that means cricket is dying and only few

There are over 20 statesm team each having 11 players playing for the team, besides, railways and services. So you can name many more players to make your list further lengthy. Even in the current national 11, only players like Dravid and Sachin have the ability to play rising ball. Jaffer ofcourse is technically sound to negotiate such ball. But his temperment is poor that success eludes him more often as was the case with Sanjay Manjrekar, who was one of the best in technic as far as cricket is concerned.
ONce a while Ganguly may make some contributions. Yuvraj may come out with an innings of substance. But overall their ability to play rising ball is doubtful, not to speak of the newcomers you have named in.

How many teams beat Australia now these days? How many other teams apart from Australia, India has performed badly apart from world cup disaster. BD has won a match against Australia too. What you say about that? In today%u2019s scenario Australia number one, rest all spots open. Don%u2019t expect India to be equal or better than Australia but they are capable of being number 2 to any number depending upon performance and that means they have to perform well against BD also. So this series should be taken as good building process where best 11 should be paying irrespective of age or status or prejudice. Not many available to replace sachin in India at the moment. Groom youngsters but give them overlapping with the best in the business so they also learn what is test and international cricket is like. One thing for sure centuries by sachin is bad from sachin at prime standard but is good enough or better than that for any other player including Dravid who is playing his best cricket at moment. So nothing to compare about sachin with others. Same time no point comparing sachin of today with sachin 1998 as long as he plays for team as per requirement of team and deserve his place compare to others (not himself of 1998). I am sure except fans who want him to score 100 in 100 balls every match he plays, all are satisfied with his centuries or contribution to team in this series and rightly gave him Man of the series. Well said. Even though I may not agree with all the points but atleast it is balanced and tries to be logical. People dont realize that due to recent injuries, Sachin's is unable to play at his best because psychologically there is a feeling that he may injure himself if overstretches. But he did show glimpses of his best in the one day series at home against WI when he scored a 76 ball 100. We cannot and should not expect this from him all the time. Irrespective of that, he is still better than most other players in team (excepting Dravid) so there is no reason to criticize him. Except the 2 innings in WC, where did he fail? People who keep criticizing him forget the fact that in the last 3 WCs he was very successful.Even Sachin playing at 50% of his peak is better than many others. You are right about grooming the youngsters with seniors for a couple of years and when the seniors retire they can take over but wholesale replacement is a recipe for disaster which will take years to build the team.

During Post-1987 World cup time when Srilanka visted us, we scored 676 in the first one and drew. Then we went on to win both the next matches by more than an inns. There was no pride in that. I can tell this is almost similar except some avenge as Bangladesi's were having a tickling tongue. Hope it is cured by now. But by far and large we could be proud, although we don't need to feel inferior at all. So many strong counties would have played against weak countries; but first 4 guys scoring century definitely shows our ability. And no need to say that, we need to show our power against aussies. We had won back to back four touranments from 1983 to 1985 and we also have scored huge amount of runs against all great countries. We can do that again as well. On the other hand Cricket is the queen, never abode a single king. For sometime if it was West Indies, then for a short time, India and now for a very long time Australia. By the way, we have two big weaknesses. 1. No bowling strength 2. No motivation to play good.
First one no coach or selecter cares. They look after only the guys who are visible. No talent searching as Imran Khan doing for Pakistan. We surely have more talent in the country than what we have on the stage.
About the second one, we had a brief period from 2000-2004, when consistently more than one batsman performing; thus making us proud winners. We are losing that ability slowly. So it is good to see the turn around. Keep it up Indian team!!!
