About Indian Team Fitness.

I read a newspaper that Rahul Dravid was hit by indian most unexperienced fast bowler R.P.Sing!!
If an unexperienced bowler like R.P.Sing doing to this then what happend if India going to face real fast bowler in really fast peach.

"It's happend in few year's ago when Indian team touring to WestIndies. In atest match AnilKumble was hit by bouncer bowled by W.I. fast boeler. That wasn't avery fast boucer but when it hitting Kumble's face it bleeding.Kumble were immedietly taken to hospital and was found broken jaws.He was sent home by indian team management."
If it is happened in the practice then wahat happend in reality.
BCCI sould look out for this kind of things.
India needed fresh blood to takle this kind of things.

Do you also remember that Anil Kumble bowled with his jaws strapped in that match? Tell me honestly how many bouncers have you hooked or how many jaws have you broken? It is really easy being an arm chair critic.

Sucks....
by Kart on May 07, 2007 12:17 PM

I think we Indians should be ashamed of ourselves that we are being happy when one is hurt.We talk about culture does our culture teach us such things.
By reading this comments people from outside India will form a opinion about us.That opinion will be bad.Due to many people's comment about being happy about one getting hurt, this has brought shame to our country.

If Dravis and Sachin face too mediocre slow bowlers like sree and RP, how can they face world class bowlers like Lee,Bond,Malinga.
They shud be thankful to older fast bowlers like ambrose, walsh mcgrath since they have retired.
Imagine these idiots had to face the likes of ambrose, marshall, patterson, garner ????

Fleming v/s Dravid
by Prasad Shastri on May 06, 2007 08:12 PM  | Hide replies

Fleming resigned after a dozen years of captaincy and he has lost more matches as captain than he has won.

Dravid in 2 years as captain has won 33 lost 29 one day matches as captain. Did you think he was abad captain when he won 6-1 agianst Lanka, 5-1 against England, 4-1 against Pakistan. Sachin, Saurav, Azhar, Vengsarkar, Kapil failed to win a test series against West Indies in West Indies. Dravid won the test series against West Indies in West Indies. Do not say that WI was a weak team. Seet the test recorsd of Lara, Chanderpaul, Sarwan and Gayle. India was without Sachin and Ganguly. No Indian captain has won a test match against South Africa in South Africa except Rahul Dravid. Dravid also was the first captain to win a test against Pakistan in Pakistan.

Good analysis but it is waste of time..esp. when we loose against Bangladesh (don't know how?..some hidden hand or $$ etc etc..).
Loose and win doesn't matter, even the effort was missing.
How frustrating when u see all these recordholders do not put a resistence ( all of them seem to forget to do any effort to fight).
WHY DO WE HAVE TO KEEP THEM IN MEDIA , ALWAYS??

THERE ARE SO MANY SPORTS AND WE DO NOT SEEM TO REMEMBER IF THEY ARE WINNING OR LOOSING

can we attribute this success partly to Mr. Chappel as well? He was the INDIAN coach when INDIA cherished this good moments? And it is rediculous that people on this post are aplauding Dravid only for this success but when INDIAN crashed out of WC-2007, Coach was first to be blamed! It happens only in INDIA.

U IDIOT BEFORE YOU COMPARE FELING TO DRAVID...
THINK ABOUT HIS.

MOST NEW ZEALAND BATSMAN AVERAGE BETWEEN 20-30 IN ODI'S
MOST INDIAN BATSMAN AVERAGE BETWEEN 35-45.

DRAVID HAS FAR BETTER RESOURCES ON HAND...COMPARED TO FLEMING...

SO WE DONT NEED DRAVID AND GET HUMILIATED AGAIN AND AGAIN.....CHAMPIONSTROPHY AND WORLD CUP ARE THE BEST EXAMPLES.

6-1Lanka, 5-1 against England, 4-1 against Pakistan
6-1 LANKA AT HOME...WHEN SRI LANKA WAS REBUILIND..
5-1..ENGLAND AT HOME....ENGLAND ARE NYWAY SHIT...WITHOUT THEIR MAIN PLAYERS....

People are losing track!!!
by selvi senthil on May 06, 2007 06:55 PM  | Hide replies

I just happened to view all the news in rediff and " Rahul Dravid hit by R P singh bouncer" had as many as 230 messages whereas " Parle Director was onboard Kenyan airlines" (which crashed) had only 10 messages from the people which included me. My main points are:
1. Australia is world no 1 in cricket but cricket is not the only craze in Australia. Tennis (Hewitt, Football (Viduka) and Australian football are given the same importance as cricket.
2. We ( india) just play cricket and even fail to deliver in that.
3. It is time we concentrate on other sports such as tennis where Bhupathi and Paes are still winning trophies.
4. Cricketers are not immortals or gods.
5. Applaud when Indian cricket team wins and encourage them when they lose.
6. Do not hail them with the GOD status when they win or make a century and do not bring them down to a gutter level when we lose or a batsman is in poor form.
7. Gilchrist did not bat well throughout the world cup except for the finals and he recieved support from the whole team.
8. India should be a team like a compound not a 11 player mixture.
9. Cut all endorsements until they score a hundred against test playing nations except Bangladesh and Zimbabwe or take 5 wicekts.
10. Do not watch all matches India play and spend your time wisely. If you follow this, India will become a better nation.

Important: England invented cricket, rugby, tennis, basketball and football. So try to give importance to INDIA's national sport Hockey. What is so good in cricket? Answer...

Good points. I wish PHL gets some serious patronage and so does Chess, Tennis and other sports. We are in dire need of sponsors to prop up other sports in India. This would also help players showcase their talent on the global stage.
