RE:What happened to the Bongs ?
by Beamer Bees on May 06, 2007 12:17 AM
would be interesting to see how ganguly faces the bouncers. I think i have found the reason why this bong fails in batting. When the fast bowlers are bowling, he is too scared to even move his bat around. When the spinners come, he gets a breather .. ignorance sets in, the arrogance takes over. He dances down the pitch, 8 out of 10 times, mistimes the shot and gives an easy catch in the deep. The poor guy .. he is funny to watch. Ofcourse, the bongs think he is the best thing that happened to cricket after don bradman. Infact, I believe they think he is the Bradman. Funny cricketer He he he

Cant even chase 120 (1997 Westindies Test match)against a ageing attack of Ambrose,Bishop and Frankly Rose(Debut series) and most losses were against Genuine pace bowling, flopped even against Kenny Benjamin and aged Walsh(1994 Tour in India),Struggled against Donald and co in SAF,Akram always troubled,so did Waqar in his prime(other than Jadeja blitz in that fixed match)he did torment Indians and all we did was smash them in their last match in 2003 and everyone forgot how bad we were facing fast bowling Despite one bouncer one over rule(which wasnt in 60s and 70s)and Helmets, batting pitches Indian batsmen never liked genuiene pace.

Dear Debashish I feel if Rahul and Sachin are not not able to play our local bowlers, what will happen to them when they tour Australia in 2007-2008 season to face Brett Lee and Clark. They are going to face further humiliation. More so, because Sachin in any way is not going to help the cause. He will not be disturbing the scoreboard.

I simply cant understand why people cant put their point without abusing others? This is a forum where people present their opinions. If someone expects to see only opinions that match to their liking probably he or she is wrong. You can always counter the message but without attacking personally. It is a pity to see majority of people being emotional and abusing people personally. regards, Raja Mohan
The biggest mishit of the present team touring Bangladesh is Rahul Dravid. Its great news that he got hit by a RPS Bouncer & i pray to god that he is not able tp proceed to Bangladesh Tour. Save a lot of embarrassment. Make Ganguly the captain of One-day & Tests

Yes carol, it will DOOM again, losing in the finals again, instead of losing gloriously in the first round itself.

Learn to cultivate some empathy for your fellow human beings my friend. Life is all not about winning or losing a game. Ganguly is no better as a captain. He is an emotional idiot.

I agree with u..all these comments show how immature ppl can act..Here one guy is injured and bleeding and some want Ganguly to be the captain..Try to be sympathetic..If u cannot do not write such irrelevant comments..

Yes Ganesh,Ganguly is a emotional idiot, and Dravid is a LOSER, and a nervous idiot.I would prefer the emotional idiot who takes me to the finals rather than a loser idiot who loses in the first round.

You are quite right Shri Sunil Other wise ,we would be hearing news after a few weeks that they have been hit by Bangladeshi spinners.
Seems like the youngsters Sreesanth and RP are really pissed at the dismal showing of the veterans in the WC when we were ousted in the first round. First Tendulkar now Dravid... go young sheron nice cheeky way to settle public vendetta! IGNORE THIS MESSAGE I AM JUST SEEING THE FUNNY SIDE OF THIS.
WE should congratulate R.P. Singh for bowling the boucer and for Dravid for trying to evade it in the last few seconds. Dravid is a good player of the bouncing ball, but getting hit can happen to the best of the best. We need more bounce pitches in India where the fast bowlers and seamers can strut their stuff, and that will teach our batsmen how to play speed and bounce. This is the only way that we can beat Australia in Australia, which should really be goal for the future.... The players are having a good practice before the Bangla Desh tour after a disastous World Cup....wish them Godspeed
