Good one, that's the truth useless Sachin was always uncomfortable against left arm spinners, saqlain, murali and now his standard has nosedived even further even Rafique, Tsabalala and Panesar find it easy to get his wicket.

Yes Sachin the whole nation is with you. But how much are you in the interest of the nation's triumph in this test match.
Kapil did drag himself in the team for a good part of two years after he was over his prime. He was argubly the best alrounder india produced. Some how he also had more feeling for the game above himeself, He is definitely one of the top 5 Indian cricketers. That kapil was allowed to overstay in the team, does not give any body else the right to overstay himself in the team. Sachin has been great, but it is time that he call it a day in grace. Kapil surely handled tention situation better than sachin does. As for monty's present joy, he will live long enough to discount the wicket of Sachin, which is there for taking now a days.
All of you had one main grouse. Sachin, Ganguly, Yuvraj, Sehwag, etc etc were great superstars, with great names/reputations who performed only on Indian pitches but failed consistently on overseas tracks and faster pitches.
BUT THIS PROBLEM IS NOW SOLVED.
YOU KNOW WHY ??

India Has produced till so far three great player%u2019s. Namely Gavaskar,Tendulkar or Kapil Dev. People comparing the Tendulkar Vs Kapil Dev. Which is by any standard unfair, if you want to compare then Compare with Gavaskar & Tendulkar?
Gavaskar &nb sp; &n bsp; Tendulkar 1 Gavaskar was an Opening Batsman & always facing a New Ball, that by default always produced more swing. 1. Contrary to that Tendulkar Bats & Middle order Batsman & faces always old ball, which produced less swing. 2. In days of Gavaskar the Pitches are uncovered pitches. At present the pitches are covered pitches. 3. Those days the Batsman were uncovered & the all the covering Guard were not available. Like Helmet, Arm Guard, Thy Pad & etc. Who always help to boost the confidence of batsman? At present the Batsman were covered & the all the covering Guard are available. Like Helmet, Arm Guard, Thy Pad & etc. Who always help to gives confidence to batsman. 4. Those days the pitches are not covered & it always like good bowling surface. At present the pitches are covered & it always like good batting surface. 5. Those days most of the Bowler%u2019s are bowling in the Speed of 95 to 100 mile Speed per hour ( Michel Holding, Joel Garner, Andy Roberts, Malcolm Marshal, Wales, Ambrose, Denis Lillie, Jeff Thomson, Bob Willies, Richard Hadlee, Imran Khan, etc) At present the most of the Bowler%u2019s are bowling in the Speed of 85 to 90 mile per hour Speed. ( Only two bowler are bowling in 90 to 95 miles are Shoaib Akhtar

6. Gavaskar scored 11 Century against West Indies that also against famous fast batteries Where Tendulkar has Scored only 9 Centuries against west Indies. 7 Against West Indies, England, Australia & Newzealand. Gavaskar Scored 20 Centuries playing against them in abroad. Where Tendulkar has scored 13 Centuries against these countries playing them in abroad.
Conclusion: If Tendulkar must have faced these gr8 fast bowlers of the time of Gavaskar, he could have been an ordinary batsman by this time. Please do remember Kapil has played as an all rounder & faced all theses quickies & scored more than 5,000 Runs means as good as scoring more than 10,000 Runs of present type of cricket.
What I mean to Say is that, all these three are gr8 & with this gr8ness they can comment on any body.

James, THINK BEFORE YOU COMMENT!! I think you have very less knowledge about cricket(atleast after reading your message). 1) Gavsakar was opening batsman, so is Sachin. Sachin has opened the innings so many times and not to mention we seldom have a good openig partnership, so even if sachin bats at No. 2, it is as good as opening. so eventually both of them have played playing a swing bowler to equal extent 2) Now pitches are covered, means it helps pitch to maintain its composure, and if it rains, the covered pitch has more moisture content than uncovered pitches. which means covered pitch always favours bowlers!! 3) Gavaskar use to wear all kind of protection,right from his traditional helmet to arm-guard etc. check old classical matches for your confirmation. 4) Those days there were no bowlers bowling as fast as bowlers of these days. 5) out of 37 centuries sachin has scored in 13 occasion India has won the match. What about gavasker? Conclusion: If gavasker would have played in place of sachin, by now he would have hardly scored 10 100's.

Sachin is an opening batsman in ODI's which are mostly played on flat wickets, unlike Gavaskar who Opened in Test cricket in Green tops.
You have not watched enough of Gavaskar's matches most of Gavaskars matches he played without helmet.
Uncovered pitches have been abandoned because they are dangerous for the players they can cause dangerous bounce, seam movement which can cause career threatening injuries.
Gavaskar primarily played during the era of test cricket not ODI's. ODI's gained prominence only in the 90's.
James you are spot on, the present generation of cricketers are a pampered bunch with facilities like neutral umpiring, tv replay facility, practically every conceivable safety equipment, foreign coaches, physios, trainers, terrific practice facility. Gavaskar, Kapil did not have access to these terrific facilities.
Despite these poor facilities Kapil got India a world cup, what has Sachin achieved after 18 years of International cricket?

Bengal Tigar, Let me tell you abt cricket first of all....Cricket is the game of 11 players now as well as during the time of kapil dev.. and world cup cannot be won by single player... So kapil didnt get the world cup for us but all the team players efforts got us the world cup....
Sachin cannot get us world cup even if he puts his 100% as it is a team game ...

That's the point selfish Sachin was never a team man in a team game, just see how he deliberately slows down when he nears his fifty/hundred landmark. That's the type of selfish game which Sachin plays in a team game.

Bengal tiger, Dont forget the wonderful example Gavaskar had set 36 not out opening the innings in a 60 over ODI chasing something like 275 .
Gavaskar had set a wonderful example I guess!
And as far as facilities are concerned, you have to move with the times. What do you expect our cricketers to do? Bat without helmets/guards? Technology is being used by everybody. Its not called pampering.
And dont forget it was Sachin who was the first victim of technology (1st player to be adjudged run out in SA in a test match). What a stupid comment that was about new cricketers being pampered. In fact I would say the oldies probably got away with so many runouts not given because there was no technology.

Why should only Kapil get the credit? Don't forget that the entire team chipped in that final while defendnig 180 odd. Kapil had the support of the whole team. Similarly dont blame only Sachin for not winning W'Cup. He took us to the finals in '03. Guess who let us down? - The bowlers. They were hammered out of sight leaving a mountain to climb which even Richards, Bradman or Gavaskar would have failed in achieving.

Holding, Garner, Roberts, Denis Lillie, Jeff Thomson, Bob Willies, these people were scared to face Tendulkar and hence had to retire...rest you mentioned and missed here were already rested in peace by Sachin. Now if the helmets were not there then it is Sunny's problem not sachin's. Also when cricket started there was no pads, guard, etc etc does that make people greater than gavaskar? One more interesting thing, did you see how jeff thompson bowls, pure chucker action. Because of them rules came up. When sunny failed no one got pissed off, but when Sachin fails every one does..... and still Sachin has more centuries against Aussies than Gavaskar. You give infinity reasons for Sachin and I can give you 1 for saying he is great What Sachin had achieved, people like Sunny take 10 life times. I have not seen Sunny get one 100 in 89 innings until his last but one innings.

You Sound like the person of un sound mind. Your opinion proves that you very limited knowledge you have about cricket.In my article thats why i have writted think before you comment. Read with unboised opinion then comment. If the player like Amarnath, Madanlal or Sandip Patil Critising about Tendulkar then obiviously its not fare because they have not reached upto a legend marks.
