A lot has been said about the three most respected and gifted cricketers that the world has ever seen. Agreed that they did not perform upto our expectations in the WC. But I think we can do our bit by leaving them alone and concentrate on their careers. Some people have mentioned that they play for money. I can only tell such people that they can earn more money by retiring and concentrating on a business. So guys just sit back and relax. Let them decide on their careers. I do feel Ganguly is getting a bit rusty but we still cannot imagine a team without Rahul & Sachin, the gems of Indian (World) Cricket. So, as Indians I think we can wish them Best of Luuuuuuck and cheer them on when they step out to bat. Also youngsters like Yuvraj, Dhoni and the ever impressive Karthik have to step up a gear or so. Give it a thought guys.

Well Mr. Nanda,
I did mention rusty Ganguly becoz of the way he is playing nowadays. I in no way ruled him out or asked for him being sacked. I respect whatever he has achieved in his career and certainly believe that he has been one of the best left-handers to have played for India. I just feel that he has to decide whether he wants to get back into vintage Ganguly mode, the same person who has 10000 runs in ODI's, or play in the manner he is presently displaying. Also your view of Dravid being hopeless actually shows that you have no respect for people who have achieved and bought glory to our country. I agree he was ill-treated by Mr. Chappel and the first round exit has done no good to his reputation as captain. But on a broader scale, he is agressive in intent and probably not in behaviour which is not his nature. He is the perfect man for the job in present circumstances as he is a link between the other two over-awed seniors and the bubbly and exuberant juniors. Comeon.

Kartik sof ar has played 19 matches. highlight of his career are vs Bangladesh 58 vs West indies 63 vs south africa 32
his overall average is 26.50
the point is he may be good or just average.But so far we havent seen him play a major inining against a quality opposition.
Yuvraj made his mark on debut against australia with that 84 that u mention.I saw that knock and it was clear yuvraj was here to stay.
Dhoni made 183 when he was a new comer.
Its correct to call Kartik overrated as he hasnt done anything exceptional.

You have mentioned the oneday scores of Karthik batting at No 7, is it indeed an average of 26.50 good for an youngster playing at No 7 for ODI's. And you also forgot the crucial test innings he played against SA when he replaced sehwag as opener and also the Ton he made against Bangladesh as a test opener.Remember karthik was brought in as a stand by keeper to Indian team and he has worked his way to the current level. He has moulded himslef into every form of the game opening for tests, playing at No 7 for ODI's, execeptional fielder, and a brilliant keeper. I am sure he is a future prospect for Indian cricket for years to come.

Rahul cannot compare with Ganguly. Rahul is a classic player. Ganguly is only good against weak teams. Remember Rahul was the Batsman of th Tournament in a World Cup tournamnt. He got a special award, even though India was not able to enter in final. Ganguly never be a man of the Tournament or man of the series

Star cricket is avlbl now every were but people like us in chennai were in city limits SET TOP BOX system star cricket is not avalbl, when i checked with SCV they said that this is a pay channel and talks going, no clue as of now, hopefully resolved this week, iam hoping for that, so people in chennai city can watch this series live.

i seriously believe selectors should have given irfan a chance in at least tests in england. i dont think we can hope to win a series on back of just four bowlers. we need five to attack and i think irfan strikes the balance. however, at the same time this is a very good time for irfan to iron out his flaws, bcoz he has a lot of potential and might have a bright future.

I agree with you chirag 'cos Irfan is the best swing bowler we have got among the current crop now. The conditions in Englad would have been ideal for him to come back to form. He is such a useful batsman too down the order. Any day better than Ajit Agarkar who flatters to decieve everytime he plays.
zaheer khan, shreesanth, r.p.singh etc. have time and again showed inability to reverse swing the ball in the end, there is only one bowler who can do it and he is ajit agarkar, if we include him, it would be easy to pick up last 4 wickets, what do u guys think!!!!

Its true Indian Bowlers always struggle to pick-up the last 4 wickets in every match. You need somebody who can reverse swing and bowl some good yokers. The bowling coach has sort out this problem hopefully.

Bowling coach himself was not a very good bowler of yorkers(because his pace was too slow) and reverse swing(i hardly know a time he has done that), but i have to admit he was very very effective in using the slow ball.

The coach should be a great player who has played for the Indian Team and has rendered a service for the Indian Cricket Team. Gavaskar,is the man. Bring back Sourav Ganguly as the Indian Cricket Team Captain,And vice captain as Sachin Tendulkar, and see the magic. Let the Indian team cherish the spirit of the cricket, not the politics. Throw them out who are playing politics, may be he is good player. There are new players in the line,and under the good captainship of Sourav, the light will burn and the team will revive to get the next world cup. Dont waste time, and get it done for the crores of Indians waiting to see our team bring back the team spirit as under Sourav.
