Tendulkar must be there because he has done well in 20-20 matches which were played in April in India....So he has got that experience of playing in this format of game........

Single match does not count to experience. This will not make big difference. But he fails to make country win in major events. This is one such event.

playing in india vs playing in south africa is a differnt ball game. tendulkar cant perfome outside the subcont dont u remember what happend to him in SA last year

mrpaki.. u seem to have forgotten what happened to him in ireland against south africa.. its the recent form that matters. Dont brood over form a year back!!
It was really rqrd so that we can come to know where we are without Sachin and Sourav. Hopefully the matches will be real and decision making. Yuvraaj can not become the captain because he can not copy Dravid , rather he perhaps like the way of Ganguly re. captainship.So he is rejected. BCCI already shown interest in Dhoni.In the 20-20 matches it will be proved how much technically he strong in batting,-pls carefully watch his batting stunts/movement ,-so far I understand ,-he is not strong technically.And without Sachin and Sourav how he plays ,-this is imp. to watch. Kartick is good but we shd not expect him as a captain before start of his real cricket career. Yuvraaj is excellent but .............

absence of sachin and sourav will not make that much difference if the youngester are determind to win. So many matches had played and won without these two stalwarts. It is the testing time for them to prove their consistency to continue them to stay in the team.

you hardly know cricket and statistics.Without Sachin & Saurav we have won only 28% of the matches in last 10 years though our avarage winning percentage is 53%.So please dont make silly statements

hey in 20-20 we want sixes and fours not ur technique. if dhoni will hit sixes and fours with more than 100 strike rate we r happy and its better than sachins and dravid technique. let in this wc play youngester if not in final we will be in the semifinal thats for sure.

saurav and technique? when did that marraige happen? idiots oneday batsmanship dosen't rquire much of technique especially against weak teams and that is what saurav is good at, hitting against weak teams. Sachin does well against strong teams in ODIs and in tests Sachin has an avg of 56 whiole ganguly a measly avg of 41. so don't even write sachin and ganguly in same brath, u bengali parochial as*hole.

uhi satvat,u hv still time to play 20/20 dr., ask to the oldies like sachin, dravid & ganguly to retire and make way for youngester like u. Now concentrate on your studies OK...
It is just impossible to even imagine an Indian Cricket Team Without Sachin,Saurav and Dravid. I know they had to go some day but still... Anyway I just hope these youngsters play well. - archana.

well yes, 20-20 is an entirely different ball game. In mere 20 overs you really don't need people like sachin and saurav who can build the innings slowly or someone like dravid to preserve wickets at one end. 20-20 is a bang-bang-bang cricket, there' lot of action, no dressing rooms(players sit in benches like in football) lot of fitness too required as a result hence younger cricketers a must for this. Yes these new players may not be successful as it looks right now but the reason is least exposure to such form of the game and not due to absence of the big 3. On the other hand, England, south Africa, Pakistan, Australia etc have already played local tournaments in this form of game from quite some time though it started in India very recently. Remember in this, a sehwag, Yuvraj or a dhoni are much much more important than the big 3 though I still think very highly of the senior three for the other forms-ODi and Test but 20-20 is for the younger ones only.

you have a bias against dravid. dravid scores at the same rate as sachin now. but i agree with you that the senior crickters dont really need to play this form of cricket. they belong to a different era. and i really dont care for 20-20. its basecall in a different form.

I think its pure politics playing by seniors now. Suddenly they are saying that they want to give chance to youngsters in WC now. If they were saying these words on the beginning of this year or before year then there cud be options of new players playing in scheduled matches before WC. But now there is no scope for youngsters for international exposure.

How do you know that it is going to be a flop?The tournament has not started yet. The senior trio can not play forever and this 20-20 cricket is for younger players and not for those above 32&33 . More over this will be an ideal platform for building the future ODI team. Have faith in our youngsters and encourage them instead of being pessimistic. May one of the trio can be made manager for this tour.
The Captain for the national team is yuvaraj singh because in three of them yuvaraj do better than other two members i think and for vice captaincy only dhoni do because they didnt play more games and about sehwag is not playing not well.My point is Yuvaraj Singh is next captain after Dravid for the team India.
