now big 3 wants to decided where they want to play.....they r running BCCI...why do we need selection committe..let them decide the team.....selectors are useless....big 3 knows...if they dont perform in 20/20 worldcup...thei carrer is over....great ploliticians...calling themselves great...win atleast one world cup.....

Till date people like you were after the senior trio and wanted them to retire. Now when the seniors have opted out of a tournament, you are accusing them of being selfish and call them great politicians. They have opted out because they know that 20-20 is not for those above 30. Why do you people attribute wrong motives for what the seniors have done with good ntentions? May be you are disappointed because you have lost the opportunity to criticise the seniors and will not have much to write about as rediff message board contains mostly criticisms about these three players. Don't compare 20-20 tournament to regular WC.We don't know how popular this 20-20 will be.

well..i definately want them to retire....i dont want them to get their ways in everything!...they shouldnt decide...where to play and where not to...and you are right internationakl cricket is not for above 30....especially for indians....let the youngster play and if they start now....we have hope of 2011 worldcup....pesonaly...i dont care about their personal milstones...i only care about winning the world cup...which not happening...aslong as...this guys are around....so think for the future....

Everything sachin does now is termed as selfish. When sachin scores - he is selfish.. When sachin decides play - he is termed selfish. when sachin decide not to play - he is selfish again . and for the un-selfish act of batting failure , same ppl wants him out of the team!!
Going by these opinions, this should be the process for MOM, at the end of the match march referee pics the most selfish player of the day and that how sachin got the most MOM than all other players..

Friend all these criticism is due to the fact we lost WC. Had we reached to Semis or Finals nobody would have uttered any word..
This discussion will be on till we win a major series/tournament comfortably.
So till then listen to all this... This shows how all are hurt by WC loss and some have yet to come to terms of reality we lost out of WC miserably...
the indian cricket team is very lazy for play cricket because they are very old cricketers and the silecters dont choose yuth players like raina kaif irfan and pujara
its indeed a very good move taken by the trio keepin their body in mind..20-20-game require more physical fitness as itwill b more hectic for these trio to handle and it also gud opportunity to young players to show case their talents and make us believe that even without the great trio we can perform very well at highest competition level... so i think now we shud encourge our young player and appreciate the move taken by our seniors..hope they can retain their fitness to the much challengin australin tour in india followed by tour of pakistan...im sure no one over here wants india to perform badly againstthe aussies at home...so gud decision sachin.dravid and sourav..
sachin, dravid or ganguly are good batsman but not for this version of cricket. they are safe players, they want their repo to be clean, unhurt. let youngsters enjoy fast cricket.

Are you crazy or what??? Sachin/Sourav/Dravid has played World's fastest bowlers and have scored so many runs. They have brought so much laurels to India and you say they are safe players. You are the biggest DHAKKAN I have seen in my entire life.

Doston, its past glory we need to play fast bowlers even for next decade so some shud be a standby.. kaise if all these hold up their places.

exit of sehwag gave door for Karthik/Uthhapa.(provided they need to excel)
It is a wise decision as considering age of senior players and in order to avoid any injuries in such a not so establish game of cricket to give them rest.
