First, if you are honest and have guts, let people see my message
well, no one should take oriyas lightly. they can be extremely agressive. remember the outher aussie..staines!. well that guy had to pay with life of his kids for spreading christianity in us hindus. while officially, we cannot suppoort these brave heroes of india because of pseudo-seculr press, but i am definitely prou of the guy. that white chappal was too arrogant. india is a supreme superpower, and we have to be agressive to climb further. all those who support chapel are slaves.
VANDE MATRAM!

Slapping Somebody is never a heroism! Heroism is to prove him wrong with good performances. Saying about "Staines" - killing innocent kids is also never heroism nomatter what their father was propogating. If Orriya's are Hero's how many have died on the war front or as a matter of fact how many are in Indian Army fighting in the fronts?
lets not feel ourselves.

are u even educated? go check your facts about Indian army. Respecting human rights does not imply suffering from inferiority complex. I live in US and have a lot of white friends who are really nice people. Uneducated jerks like you make India look bad.

Well this is not a war. This is just cricket and what mistake greg has done, the selector selected cricketers not greg chappel. After 3 years cricket returned to orissa and this stupid thing happened, this is just ridiculus act. The man who does not know about cricket will do this kind of thing. Shame on him

Hah...Mr Nitin, your orissa people become heroes by attacking defenseless people, is it? Since you mentioned Staines, he was defenseless too, sleeping in the car with the kids when a big group of people attacked them. Do you call that heroism? Its Staines who was the hero working with your people in your backward state!
You are a shame to India. I feel pathetic to know that such Indians exist in our country.

Slapping a defenceless person or a person caught unware is no heroism.
It is equally an act of cowardice to burn a person with his kids.
Missioneries spread their religion because they offer cheap/free education, food, shelter and medicines in areas where people live in utter poverty.
To combat Christian influence there should be equaly aggressive and sustained campaign from NGO, political / religious outfits on these areas where assistance to the poor is badly needed.
A momentary slap, or a momentary killing and that to so ruthlessly is no solution at all. These are some easy acts of cowardice.
If you really love your countryman be a substitute for the missioneries. Match their dedication, education and activities. Do something really good for the poor.
It is disheartening to come accross such venom from people who supposedly have a minimum level of education and money to be able to access the net.

Mr. Nitin,
I don't know whether you belongs to Orissa or not, but you seems to be immature and like a kid. If we have problem with Chappel, then why we selected him as Coach? We have lot of great players available, then why we recruited non-Indian coach. I am from Orissa and I am a great fan of cricket, but it doesn%u2019t mean that I will go on road and slap everyone on the road or will criticize West Indies or any other team that why their team is playing with Indian team which doesn%u2019t have any Oriya player.
First of all you have to find out the root cause, why Orissa team is not doing well in Ranji lavel or in any domestic cricket. What scope facilities our (Orissa) players are getting in Orissa, etc, etc. Remember one thing, if you will get cut in your finger, whom ever you will touch you will feel pain, it doesn%u2019t mean that all people to whom you touch have pain and they were giving their pain to you.
Don%u2019t think like pond/well frog, if you will come out of this then you will find you are not the only king in this world.

Regards,
Sundeep.

I think nitin you have got totally confused with what's the difference between bravery and what is cowardice. For what reason, you think that the killing of unarmed graham steines is a brave act, i leave, well, u only to decide...but i think for people like you only who think of regionalism first(oriyas, x,y,z,etc)and national sentiments later, that we always remain a nation in communal disharmony.Let me ask you a question, does slapping of chappel solve an issue like why oriyas are not making it to the national cricket team?is he the national selector,or a coach?good, bad,ugly..whatever he be;we have the right to eulogise/criticize him,but definitely not the right to manhandle him.The problem probably lies in your states cricket's infrastructure rather than mr. greg chappel..sad to say, but probably people like you are a shame not only to the nation, but to the entire concept of humanity!..hope sanity is restored soon enough, amen.

My friend we do not support Chappel. Its very true that the condition of the Indian team has become more ad after appointing him. But who should be blamed Chappel or the selectors who selected Chappel and the players. If the selectors are taking Chappels suggestions its their fault. Selecting a person who is not an Indian to coach Indian team is a big fault. No person who does not belong to a country will try that hard to attain success for that country.

When people scream when shilpa is bullied in a TV show... How can we allow anyone to do such a disgraceful act? It is so shameful to India. Selection process is something entirely upto the Selection team and any individual who is excellent would definitely be taken to the team if he could make faces turn towards him. It doesnt have to be with the badge of a State. It is very shamful that people have to be selected according to quota from states! Always performance and skill should win a place! It is high time.. that Our security acts high on these culprits. Oh, Indians, Slapping a foriegn coach is not your cup of patriotism! Growup, Indians!

If you want to see India as Super Power in near future, we should give importance to merit, performance and skill. Somebody ask Arjun Singh (and some more stupids) to stop his nonsense. Then you can see all Indians working hard to prove themselve and you will not see any stupid hitting anybody for reservations or for partiality. We should bring this revolution. All politicians are milking their votes by adding more reservations and bringing India down.

by anurag pandey on Jan 23, 2007 02:52 AM

The whole episode of manhandling here is very sad. I as an Indian feel ashamed on this uncivilized act of my fellow countrymen. I am sure that the gentlemen (who bothered to let himself loose on the pretext of an thoughtless cause) must not be aware of the basics of cricketing brains. In the course of enacting this scene he managed to cross the line that separates men from bums and was able to prove him one.

All I can give here is my apologies to Greg.

i think chappell might have understood the fans of india, its not australia where people will not bother for cricketer, they watch and forget, but indian fans are not like that they take it into heart.... Chappell should mind his business than involving other areas like comenting on politicians and players....

This will go on to become the cheapest act of the year. Greg, on behalf of that insane fellow we all deeply apologize to you. It's very shameful for a nation that believes that guests are equivalent to Gods to have such a senior person from cricket-world been smacked on it's soil. And mind you guys, he is not our servant, he's called upon to help our team with his experience & techniques, and he is trying to do his job diligently. Instead of him that guy should've slapped each of the other members of cricket team for letting us down so many times. They don't perform on the field and the entire blame is thrown upon the coach. That's so dirty.
