Only the Strong Rule
by shah khan on Jan 23, 2007 09:01 AM  | Hide replies

Rajkumar Singh, are u talking about cricket?

If you read the history book than you will find out that every country has a similar history. Only the strong rule over the weak and the cowerds. Muslim people aren't being converted by christian, it's only the poor hindus. That's why BJP passed the law. Islam is the fastest religion in the world. And in 20 years time it will become the largest. I have seen muslim who are white, islanders, maori, japanesse and many others.

Get some education buddy and stop complaining.

Quick spreading things may not necessarily be good always. Like Mughal Dynasty, which had a fall and like diseases which have their antibiotic cures.
Let us see.
Best of luck anyway.

Dont be harsh on children like Shah Khan.
I ve been watching his comment.
He is still a baby.
Do you think he doen not know how people and sometimes countries of the same clan are engaged in warfare and killing each other?
He still is showing his false pride, perhaps from some inferiority complex.
Forgive him.

Same goes for other religions. I don't understand why saying such things about islam make you proud. I don't mean to insualt any religion but I must give my objective opinion. whoever submits to islam has to remain islamic ideology's slave and that may be one of the major reasons why it's numbers are growing. But people following this religion would eventually want to be free.

This guy should be given a medal. Everyone in india wanted to slap this coach. Give him a medal.

As a pathan i would of sent him to the hospital but a slap is good too.

In the australian media this will be a big deal and will cause shame to India but who cares. They deserve it. When I attended a match in sydney, the aussie fans always make racist comments the indian hindu fans.

Looks like your own isecurities speaking. First of all what you said has nothing to do with today's incident since there is no conflict between australians and indians. Even if there were, noone had a right to slap chappel who was hired by ourselves. If you don't like him, you can fire him from his job but that would be difficult for you, not? It's easy to call all indians cowards using non-related examples. Believe me, I would have agreed with a lot of what you said, if your comments were under a related news topic. But they have nothing to do with this incident. This was shameful. If this was right then shilpa should have also been slapped not just abused.

You are trapped in to racialism which is a monster.
What would you feel if similar treatments are meted out to you when you visit any white country abroad.
You are resorting to a logical falacy. Invasion of India by the races you mention took place as that point of time the then Indians could not fight.
By slapping Chappel or any white person physically you can not gain anything.
Still if you have guts enough, show your zeal, go to Australia alone and slap Chappel there.

It is just less! He desrved a kick at his back!! Where did you sleep when he started damaging the integrity of an Indian captain and his reputation for contributions to Indian cricket. For your kind information, I visited 8 countries and have a lot of friends among muslims and christians. The converted muslims and christians in India are just dangerous. So are their blind supporters!!!

I hate to say this but muslims don't speak up against their own bad guys and try to stop them. Look how many people shamed Nitin. I am from a religious family but I don't practice any religion yet I am spiritual and I think that's what being hindu is all about in my personal view.

Nitin,
I too am proud to be a Hindu just as many other readers here are. But, this incident has got nothing to do with Hinduism. It is an animal like behaviour-more precisely Australian behaviour. An Indian does not have to resort to such actions. And as far as white, brown and black are concerned-don't differentiate, just consider yourself to be superior and that the other one has to exist peacefully for you to be superior.

Nitin, there is no conflict between whites and hindus. Even if you, the proud hindu, were a coach, this guy would have still slapped you anyway because he thinks the coach was responsible for losses. So think before supporting a bad guy.

Being neither hindu nor secular is disrespectful. India has always been secular. So shut up you idiot. I am also a Hindu

Slapping a person caught unware
by Indra Sengupta on Jan 23, 2007 06:34 AM  | Hide replies

Slapping a defenceless person or a person caught unware is no heroism.
It is equally an act of cowardice to burn a person with his kids.
Missioneries spread their religion because they offer cheap/free education, food, shelter and medicines in areas where people live in utter poverty.
To combat such influence there should be equaly aggressive and sustained campaign from NGO, political / religious outfits in these areas where assistance to the poor is badly needed. Let there be heathy competition for the welfare of people- unclad and half-fed.
A momentary slap, or a momentary killing and that too so ruthlessly is no solution at all. These are some easy acts of cowardice.
If you really love your countryman then be a substitute for the missioneries. Match their dedication, education and activities. Do something really good for the poor.
It is disheartening to come accross such venom from people who supposedly have a minimum level of education and money to be able to access the net.
Physicall slapping of Chappel is really deplorable.
There are other ways of proving him wrong.
The way Ganguly did is one example.
Anyway let us feel for this man suffering humiliation in an alien land just for few bucks!!!

ya right. how about a reality check for you Indra?? Showing your middle finger to the crowd after you have jumped into the security of your team van is a great act of heroism? Does it speak volumes about your own culture?? Actually I do feel that this is not a solution but surprisingly when Greg Chappel got slapped I did not feel bad. I felt good. Like some instinct within me felt deeply satisfied. And it had nothing to do with him being white. It had to do with the kind of person he is.
I am happy that Greg Chappel got slapped. I would not advocate it for other people but I am somehow extremely satisfied. Yes.

I am ashamed at this act. Just imagine if an Indian cricketer had been slapped in Australia. The whole country would have been outraged and called the entire Aussie tribe racist or something. I am also surprised that Greg was not accompanied by security. He is doing his job, and if he does not do it well, he can be reprimanded or fired but nobody has a right to hit him. I am disgusted.
