The Darkest Greg Chappel Era is Over! India is Shining Again!
by Arindam Bandyopadhyay on Dec 18, 2007 05:50 PM  | Hide replies

God is gracious as we have finally understood that Mr. Chappel's main mission was to destroy the competitive edge of the Indian team. He belongs to Steve Waugh's bench and knew that only India was capable of beating Aussies. So he came, he saw and he destroyed our team. But in life, always there is a cycle. And now, he has been removed and sent to Rajasthan. Hopefully he will never comeback and will understand that perhaps his eligibility is only to coach a state team. God is great!! Now he wants India to shine again!

1) Nobody's like Guru Greg. His association was the only good thing that has happenned to Indian Cricket.
2) He was not removed like Gangoo, he himself left the job.
3) Guru greg does'nt require any certificate from useless people like u.....

Bullshit! He chickened out when it was evident that he was going to be kicked out real hard! He tried everything in his dirty book of manipulations to keep his seat. Always the first to approach the media when the going was good, to take all credits. But when India flopped, first one to start the blame games. When India flopped in the World Cup, Dravid took responsibility for it, but Mr. Chappel was quick to point fingers on others. But then, worshippers of the white skin will never understand this.

Why not Amarnath/Krish Srikant/ Patil...?
by rose patel on Dec 18, 2007 05:44 PM

Generally we confuse between a coach and a player. Coaching is totally different ball game, here u may be worst cricketer but can be a good coach. A coach is like ideal teacher. Buchanan, Aussie coach never played international cricket.
The point is why to fall back on some body who does not have coaching experience, professional coaching training. What Kirsten can offer is his international exposure. we have to wait and hope that he turns out to be a good coach.

My question is what is wrong with Lalchand Rajput, He has produced wonderful results as a coach.

He coached MP ranaji team, that year MP went up to final stages.

He coached indian Junior team which won world cup in Pakistan, may be in 2002 or 2001.

He was manager during recent indian tour of England and than 20-20 occured. He was manager during lastly concluded Pak tour.

LR have professional training in Coaching. He stood first!

let us have some faith in our own players, if not LR than go for Amarnath. He is brilliant as a coach. If not Amarnath then go for Srikant / Patil even Gaekwad was not a bad coach.

by mohan kumar on Dec 18, 2007 04:34 PM  | Hide replies

No has dared to predict Team India's win in 20-20 World Cup. But they prooved the champions without foreign coach and legend players. And team is doing well in one day as well as tests under present manager.

my team for first test
1. jaffer
2. kaarthik
3. dravid
4. sachin
5. ganguly
6. laxman
7. yuvraj
8. dhoni
9. sehwag
10. kumble
11. pathan

12th man rp singh

many eye brows will raise looking at the above team
but the logic behind this is we dont have any express bowlers or match winner bowlers who can take 20 wickets to win a test in australia.

second thing if we can draw a test, that will boost our players confidence, and it will be a morale win for us.

third aus will try their best to give us a white wash...

so looking at all the factors this team can atleast draw a test in australia.
