Ganguly should have also been awarded
by Sameer K on Dec 16, 2007 02:47 AM  | Hide replies

Ganguly too should have been given the following awards.

Best Injury Faker Award

Every since Sharad Pawar took over BCCI, this guy got injured only once since his dropping. He was out for a year and played county but didnt get one injury, since he wanted to get back into the side.

And the bigger award would be....

The best bhagoda award !!!

Only award of its kind to the great player, great captain who ran away leaving the ship to sink in Nagpur against Australia.

Ganguly does not need awards...He has won the respect and admiration of the global cricketing world based on the manner in which he has made a comeback. If there was even an iota of doubt about his ability, then there is no more

Don't know why Ganguly fans are trying to find reasons in anything that happens these days!!!

Dear... Ganguly has just made his way back into team... and his position in one days is not even confirmed... let him perform consistently for some while...
Rather than scoring tons against weak Pakistn bowling attack and that too on flat pitches, lets see how he performs against Australia... and what a feeble excuse by Ganguly... "I am not able to score century becuase I come at number 5"... what a character.. putting blames of his failure to batting order

1. Was Sachin awarded for achieveing this feat?
2. Didn't Ganguly receive a felicitation for getting to 10,000 runs earlier?

Gaurav Gadha,

Saurav has scored runs on these flat pitches, when your Dravid has struggled on such pitches...Saurav has handled Akhtar with confidence where Dravid and Tendulkar have not been all that comfortable

Test match cricket is the real form of cricket and look how much this fisherman scored ?
Not even half that of Dravid.
That shows his class and all the centuries he made the matches ended in tame draws as they were played on dead pitches.

Sachin's winning 100 is more than your Dada's(ganguly) total 100...

Higher percentage simply states the fact the Sauabh has scored most of his century against teams such as bangladesh, kenya, Zimbabwe and other minnows

Out of Ganguly's 18 hundreds, 8 have come in winning cause against Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Kenya, Namibia etc. His lone hundred against Australia the best team was in a lost cause. So 10 hundreds against other teams leaving minnows have come in victory causes.

While Sachin's 6 hundreds against Australia have come in winning causes. Sachin's 9 hundreds out of 29 have come against Kenya, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh etc. So 20 hundreds against rest leaving minnows.

Dravid hasnt scored a hundred against Australia in one dayers. Dravid's 2 hundred have come against UAE and Kenya in winning causes. While 10 of his hundreds apart from those have been in victory causes for India. But Rahul hasnt got chances sometimes to score against minnows cause Sachin and Ganguly would end up scoring hundreds in same games and the number of overs left wouldnt allow a batsmen to score hundreds after that.

I am a Sachin's fan but i admit Rahul missing out those hundreds but he never cried like someone who recently cried.

Also curious why didnt you say the same thing when abuse is directed at other communities ?
Is your moral science lesson only applicable when someone says bad about your community ?

waise bhi BCCI ko or koi kaam nahi rahta hai...BCCI ke 70 % members business men hai...unka cricket se kabhi koi naata hi nahi raha hai...baaki members ko kabhi pucha bhi nahi jata
aise me or kya hoga...

United We Stand? I Think Not..
by The Heat on Dec 16, 2007 12:14 AM  | Hide replies

This forum is the perfect breeding place for shallow minded people. Instead of effing criticizing every damn thing, why not for once just appreciate the fact that the players above have all done something to make the country proud.

What's the point of being so critical about every damn thing? Fine, maybe Ganguly didn't get an award this time around but that doesn't mean people don't appreciate him.

Everyone above deserves every bit of applause, adoration, love and support. Instead we fight like a bunch of stupid people who know nothing but to criticize people.

Do we have to have so much hatred in our heads? Why the racist remarks? Why the north-south divide? Why bring religion into everything? Why diss on people who actually deserve to be awarded?

While we have every reason to feel happy that the deserved are getting the award, we also have every reason to feel that one of the deserved is deprieved. We should all stand up and raise voice against the bad politics of BCCI which is dividing the harmony of the fans and indian players by specifically depriving Sourav for his outstanding carrier achievements. It is the time to raise voice against BCCI not to keep quiet as you say.
